STRING CHEESE INCIDENT SET FALL TOUR

The String Cheese Incident released their fifth studio album, One Step Closer, on June 28, 2005 on their own record label, SCI Fidelity Records. With the new release SCI divulge, perhaps for the first time, their genuine songwriting voice, and it's every bit as ambitious as you'd expect.

One Step Closer was recorded at a friend's home in the hills of Colorado's Front Range, and was produced by Malcolm Burn (Bob Dylan, Chris Whitley, Emmylou Harris, Daniel Lanois). The recording experience proved to be cathartic for the five members of SCI, and the high and low points of the process are revealed in an accompanying DVD that features 30 minutes of exclusive B-roll footage. The end result: a gritty, free-wheeling and powerfully honed collection of 13 original songs, and a band reborn and re-inspired to continue their legacy as one of today's most visionary and talented rock bands.

Tickets on-sale on Friday, August 26 at 10:00 am MDT at www.sciticketing.com

"The recording experience proved to be cathartic for the five members of SCI," Um, wouldn't that be SIX guys of SCI, now??

Bummer that they skip from NJ all the way down to Carolina. I thoughtthey liked playing in Virginia! Guess I won't see em this tour after all...bummer.

You guys on the West Coast get all of the good shows... We have a good amount over here on the east coast in PA. Big Summer Classic KICKED ASS!!!!!! Can't wait for some more cheese. If anyone likes Jason Hann from SCI check out his cd he made a few years back called "Guinee Fare - West African Dance Rhythms." Really helps to sum up his playing for SCI. Excellent Edidtion for the band!

True we (SF) did get the shaft as far as SCI is concerned. But if your interested, Zilla has a show tonight at Cafe Du Nord and Honkytonk Homeslice is doing a show outside Santa Cruz tonight. Sometimes we just have to take what we can get. (Although settling for Zilla, to me, isn't a bad compromise!!!)

Shaft? Other than Langerado this past March, S. Florida gets overlooked worse than a rose in a field lillies. That's South Florida, as in West Palm, Pompano, Lauderdale, Miami - not Live Oak!! Anyway, it's starting to really piss alot of us off, as the expense to travel can be well, expensive.

What's up Madison House? Give it to me straight -are we not worthy?....

P.S. The article had no information about their tour, just a review of their album????

Cheese must stay to their roots and prove to every Colorado fan that this is where it happened and this is where it will end, NYE Colorado would be the hottest show ever, but where would they have it?

San Francisco will get the NYE shows at the bill graham civic auditorium. It says on the sci official website that their nye plans will be announced soon. We will definetely learn their plans between now and the end of the fall tour.

It could be worse for those who missed out on local shows. You could live in Toronto. You could get a home game once every 2-3 years. Your could have to cross a border, a beefed up paranoid border in a van every time you want to see your favorite bands play. You could get shafted on exchange rates, making the ticket 25% more. You could be stuck looking for "It" when you get there and then paying twice the price for half the quality. That's my vent. Hope at least one person feels better. See you in Ithaca.

Don't buy ticket from SCIBaseline\Baseline Ticketing they are not give refunds on tickets purchased for the Shakedown Festival. Boycott SCIBaseline\Baseline Ticketing and all events that they sell tickets for at least Ticketwest is giving refunds. This after all their complaining about TicketBastard these folks are worst.
