The heartland of America holds some treasures this weekend. Starting tonight, Thursday, November 30, The Big Wu get Strange in Omaha. Appearing tonight at Omaha's Music Box is The Wu celebrating their release of Folktales from Phoenix Rising Records. Joining The Big Wu is Strange Pleasures, Nebraska's Kindest Jamband, featuring the nationally acclaimed rhythm section of Todd Roberson (drums) and Troy Johnson (bass), of JRZ System ( and Stephen (RATT) Pearcy’s Nitronic, will get the crowd funked-up beginning at 9PM. These bands had a great time and got the crowd grooving the last time they paired up at the Box this summer. Tickets are $7 adv/$9 DOS, 21+, doors at 6:30.

Join Strange Pleasures this weekend as they travel along to Sioux City, Iowa on Friday and Saturday, December 1 & 2. They'll play two nights at the Crosstown Cafe for FREE bringing an extra special treat for the holiday season-an extra dose of hard-drivin’ funk. Don't miss it!
