Chicago, IL - Umphrey's McGee has announced a very special auction to benefit the Eddie Hrebic Family Fund. The auction will consist of five highly sought after Umphrey's McGee event posters, designed by Jeff Wood of Drowning Creek Studios. The five posters will go up simultaneously as ten day auctions via eBay and will launch Monday, July 18. The auction is officially endorsed by Umphrey's McGee with the help of Drowning Creek Studios. Click HERE TO BID.

Eddie Hrebic was a friend of Umphrey's McGee, who recently died from a sudden pulmonary embolism (blood clot to the lung) at the age of 30. He leaves behind his wife Melanie and his four month old son, Eddie Hrebic, Jr.

The five posters, originally numbered and signed by the artist, will be autographed by the members of Umphrey's McGee and remarked by Mr. Wood as a special edition, specifically for the auction. As a generous donation to the fund, the winner of each auction item will also receive a signed artist proof of an original Drowning Creek studio print. "It seems like the least we can do to help support this child left behind," said Judy Gex of Drowning Creek. "In these situations, every dime helps."

In a statement to announce the auction the Hrebic family shared, "Everyone who knew Eddie immediately felt his warmth, sense of humor and positive outlook on life. He will always be remembered for his amazing musical talents as a singer, drummer, guitarist, and songwriter and for his wide array of other talents. Most of all we'll remember his life and the love he shared with his family, friends and everyone he met."

Members of Umphrey's McGee stated, "We are always happy to do what we can, when we can. With a little help from our fans and friends, today we have an opportunity to make a difference in one child's life. That makes today a success."

Links to the auction will be available through the Umphrey's McGee and Drowning Creek websites and are sure to attract serious poster collectors, fans and philanthropists alike. The poster auctions will be marked as Hrebic Fund auction items and the bidding will start at $ .99 each.
