STEVE KIMOCK BAND JOINS TSUNAMI BENEFIT

The Steve Kimock Band announced that they would take part in fund raising efforts with the American Red Cross to help build additional resources to aid thousands of people affected by the giant Tsunami. SKB will be playing one full-set at the B.B. King Blues Club in New York City on January 31st in support of a Tsunami Jam Benefit organized by the club. Other acts featured are DJ Logic, Scott Metzger (of Rana), Marco Benevento and Joe Russo.

The devastating earthquake in Southeast Asia that sent a giant tsunami rolling across the Indian Ocean on Dec. 26th is being called the worst natural disaster of the past 200 years. The death toll spreads across 11 nations and climbs by the hour; with countless more missing and millions homeless and displaced.

The American Red Cross has organized a massive relief plan for those affected by the tsunamis, requiring an estimated $400 million to respond to both immediate and long-term needs now and years into the future. The two-phased plan calls for specialized relief in five areas, including food and safe water, healthcare and disease prevention, immediate family supplies, mental health counseling, and disaster preparedness and prevention measures.

All proceeds raised by the Tsunami Jam Benefit will be donated to the Red Cross for tsunami relief.
