PARTICLE ACCELERATES INTO NEW YEAR'S

Particle with Buckethead by Earl Gardner
Particle is just now returning from a wild week touring Europe for the first time ever. The band made stops in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Paris and Amsterdam and are ready for two big shows this weekend at The Independent in San Francisco on Friday and Saturday. Indian tabla beat master Karsh Kale and his band will be opening these two shows which are destined to be quite special.

After a few weeks of rest, Particle will be playing a special "Fan Appreciation" show at 4th & B in San Diego on December 29 and are bound to play some old classic tunes mixed with newer fan favorites and plenty of special surprises. Particle's new friends New Monsoon will be joining in the festivities that evening as well.

Particle's New Year's Eve extravaganza at Irving Plaza in New York City will be unlike any new year's stunt ever performed with a mixture of East meets West meets Monster Mayhem spectacle. The evening will begin with an opening set from Japanese punks Peelander Z, then a healthy dose of Buckethead insanity, and then another classic all-night dance party from Particle with very special "monster wrestling" guests Kaiju Big Battel. According to the Kaiju website, "For reasons known only to himself, Kung-Fu has developed some sort of grudge against the band Particle, and has targeted them for destruction. In a scroll sent to kaiju.com this week, the killer can issued a less-than-subtle threat: "1/1/05 - Particle Will Be Dashed to Pieces." While Soup's motives are unknown, his intent is clear, and the Kaiju Commissioner has reacted swiftly. As kaiju.com went to press, a crack team of Kaiju Heroes was being assembled to provide protection for Particle during their upcoming New Year's Eve performance in NYC. The Commissioner has confirmed that while a full-scale battel will not occur on New Year's Eve, the possibility for mayhem is high whenever Kung-Fu Chicken Noodle is involved." One can only imagine what will transpire on stage. Tickets are available now! And if New Year's wasn't enough celebration for you, Particle will play again on January 1 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. Here are the tour dates for the rest of the year.
