two-man whirlwind of sound known as Dexter
Grove embarks on their final tour tonight at the Mangy
Moose in Teton Village, WY. The June and July dates will be electric Dexter
Grove with Junior Ruppel from the Jackmormons
on bass. The 25-date, 24-city tour runs through July 31, 2004.
DG will play a few selected dates through August before a final week of shows
in September. The final show will be on September 11 at Revolution Hall in
Troy, NY. Many special guest are expected and a hotel package is in the works.
Dexter Grove began their boundless journey in Oswego, NY in 1994. In the last
10 years they have performed in 45 states, Canada, and Mexico. They have performed
nearly 1,700 shows. They have toured and performed with many of the scene's leading
bands and played many of the major festivals.
It is certain that Dexter Grove has left their mark on the touring circuit
as road warriors. Steve and Charley will continue make music and be vital in
the scene. The band has nothing but great memories of their time together.
