Cascades and Butterflies

Ted Freed

On Friday, April 23, Mountain of Venus played at Martini Club in Dunedin, Florida before a gathering of loving and supportive friends who travelled from around the country to support their terminially-ill friend Sam.

As lead vocalist Tanya Shylock dedicated "Light Beyond The Gray" to our brave friend, her tearful eyes gazed upon Sam as he stood smiling, swaying, and appreciative, joyfully receiving the love generated by MOV and his friends who joined him from Maryland, Texas, New York, and Florida.

The evening was moving, healing, and very powerful from the outset, and the appreciative crowd danced, sang, hugged, and cried as MOV transcended physical awareness into a strong, healing love vibration.

These special musicians have found a way to captivate those who are fortunate enough to see them perform live. Words cannot describe the deepest feelings aroused by the harmonic and powerful vocals of Tanya Shylock and Jody Cohen when combined with the Garcia-like licks laid down by Mike Pascale, the solid lead bass riffs by Dave Gesualdo, and stellar rhythms provided by their drummer "Stingray".

Mountain Of Venus is a special band whose followers have found in their meaningful lyrics and powerful songs the tie that binds us--love. Thank you, MOV!
