An incredible line up of musical legends will join some of the scene's biggest players at the 2004 Jammy Awards, held Tuesday, March 16, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Presented by Relix Magazine,, and Peter Shapiro, the fourth annual Jammys boasts the ceremony's biggest and best lineup yet.

Featuring a festival-like mix of artists, the Jammys welcomes String Cheese Incident, Black Crowes front man Chris Robinson, Warren Haynes and Gov't Mule, Mickey Hart, Jane's Addiction founder Perry Farrell, The Disco Biscuits, Public Enemy's Flavor Flav, Dickey Betts, Reid Genauer and The Assembly of Dust, Robert Randolph, Soulive, New Orleans legend Dr. John, rap icon Slick Rick , reggae star Toots Hibbert of (Toots and the Maytals), , Derek Trucks Band, The Allman Brothers' Oteil Burbridge, soul pioneer Solomon Burke, JoJo Hermann, the funky Meters' George Porter and Brian Stoltz, Maktub's Reggie Watts, and Victor Wooten. Traffic founder Steve Winwood will also be on hand to perform and accept his Lifetime Achievement Award.

One of the highlights of each year is the unique pairing of performers. For example, last year Robert Randolph performed with John Mayer and the Blind Boys of Alabama, the Tom Tom Club jammed with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Blue Oyster Cult grooved with moe., and Phish's Trey Anastasio performed with Warren Haynes and jazz legend John Scofield.

Since debuting in 2000, the Jammys has gone on to become the premiere grassroots music event in the country, honoring some of the scene's biggest stars. The 2004 Jammy Awards will be presented to winners in nine categories: Live release of the Year; Studio Album of the Year; Song of the Year; Archival Live Album of the Year; Live performance of the Year; Tour of the Year; DVD of the Year; Album Cover of the Year; and New Groove.
