Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9), one of the most unique experiments in modern music, returns to the road in late March to crank up the 2004 touring season. STS9 began the year with a string of sold-out shows in Colorado with DJ Peretz (aka Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction) spinning before the band took the stage. Mr. Farrell gave the band introductions from the DJ booth and made positive comments later in the month about the band's vibe during his keynote address for the Pollstar/CIC event in Hollywood. STS9 was honored to have such an icon of modern music with which to share the stage.

"And I can tell you that their scene is very healthy, the young people are going out there, and it's a very honest scene; in other words, they really believe in their musicians. The musicians are, well, a pretty sexy band. They took me by surprise. Sound Tribe Sector 9. Good people."
-Perry Farrell

Much of the past year has seen STS9 at work in their home studio creating the upcoming release Artifact. Artifact will be the five band members' first full-length studio release since 2000. The album has truly been a labor of love bringing together all the diversity, inspiration, and influence that embodies the music of STS9. The Sound Tribe organization is thrilled to share this record with the world. More details on the release coming soon.

For this leg of the spring tour, the band will hit the eastern part of the United States with five to six shows a week. As an added bonus, STS9 will present "Realized Intention," a group of STS9 Crew members spinning DJ sets before the two live sets by the band. In addition to showing off their own records, "Realized Intention" will spin selected tracks hand-picked by the band featuring music they are listening to and influenced by. STS9 is pleased to present Saxton, Kaptain Harris, and Eroq to the tour and encourage everyone to show up early to catch some excellent music. There is great excitement with the return to the road. We hope to see you there.
