LOCAL BOULDER BANDS UNITE FOR KBFR BENEFIT

KBFR 95.3 Boulder Free Radio is a local pirate radio station that cruises every day around the city of Boulder broadcasting solely out of a van. This upcoming concert at the Fox Theatre on Thursday January 22 is to benefit the station and to keep the van alive! The pirate radio world encourages everyone who is tired of letting corporate America dictate what they hear to come and support a station for the people by the people.

The bands performing at this benefit are local Boulder jazzers Analog Quartet, spacey favorites Porcelain, and local Boulder jammers sweet mo pea. Headlining the show is national touring act The Menagerie.

The Menagerie
The Menagerie, whose sound is very unique, offers a new style that is changing the world of rock music. Their new eclectic, distinct sound is described by the band as "Composite Arena Rock." If you have never experienced a performance by The Menagerie, get prepared to witness electronic trance grooves that will hypnotize your mind, mixed with the kind of funky jazz that will make you want to "Slap Yo Mama!"

"In a world awash with same old, same old jambands, The Menagerie stands tall above the rest. They are the best thing to come out of Boulder in years--a great blend of talent and musicianship."
-Brian F. Johnson
Marquee Magazine

The Menagerie will be taking some time this spring to tour around their home state of Colorado before heading back to Southeast in May.
