Bass wizard Arne Livingston, most known for his work with Living Daylights and the Steve Kimock Band, will join world-rock machine new monsoon during their New Year’s Eve run at Denver’s Cervante's Masterpiece on 12/30 and 12/31. Livingston has been wowing crowds all around the world for many years, going back to his days in the influential band Tough Mama. Livingston’s bass mastery is sure to launch new monsoon into another orbit, as they too have been leaving a trail of very satisfied concertgoers in their wake all year.

The New Year's Eve show will certainly go later than any other show in Denver that evening, and discounts will be available to those who arrive at Cervante’s from other concerts in town. The ticket price might be Denver’s "best deal" for NYE, as new monsoon will be playing longer, and the price will be lower, than just about all shows in Denver on the 31st. Boulder's Shanti Groove will open both shows.

New Monsoon hails from San Francisco with roots that trace to the East Coast. Appearing on the main stage of the High Sierra Music Festival for the last three years, the band played their first show outside of California in January of 2003. 172 shows later into this year, the band is as tight and as amazing as ever. With plans to play just as much in 2004, New Monsoon is a band that will be coming to your town soon, no matter where you live.

New Monsoon embarks on another nationwide tour immediately following their New Year's Eve show, with shows in Winter Park at The Hideaway on 1/2/04 with sax wizard and Panic buddy P-Nut Daniels sitting in, Steamboat Springs on 1/3/04, and on to Birmingham, Alabama, and then Florida for a slot on JamCruise 2. Following the cruise, the band returns to the Southeast with shows in Miami, Atlanta, and several other great Southern towns. The tour concludes in Chicago on January 31.

Look for more special guests on bass for new monsoon’s January tour. And make sure to make your travel plans now to join the band for their special hometown show on February 20 in San Francisco at 12 Galaxies, which is also the grand opening of this venue.
