THE MACHINE PRESENTS DEAD FLOYD

  • Send to a Friend

Once in a while, the prospect of a thought-provoking experience comes along that stimulates the imagination. One such possibility has arisen as America’s foremost Pink Floyd spiritualist The Machine will join forces with Matt Abts (Gov’t Mule, Blue Floyd) on drums, Jeff Pevar (Phil and Friends) on guitar, Johnny Neel (Allman Brothers, Blue Floyd) on keyboards and Norbert Stachel (Roger Waters Band) on sax, to bring to life Dead Floyd. This enigmatic collaboration will attempt to fuse the essence of Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead material to form one powder keg of an evening.

The Machine has been drawing the attention of crowds and critics alike with its awe-inspiring and innovative approach to covering Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead material into a kind of “electrified Dixieland,” and a true statement to artist integrity. With this next collaboration they will attempt to not only fuse genres, but to actually bend the fabric of American counterculture and expose the underbelly of some of the greatest lyrics and harmonies of all time. And also bring together individuals with the motive of spreading joyous music, love, and peace in a cross continent fashion.

I am looking forward to seeing a band that I have not had the opportunity to see, The Machine, in a ground-breaking collaboration. This will allow for an unbiased approach to capturing and encapsulating the experience for all to relish. If you yourself would like to join the occurrence, here are the future dates to look for.
