SUMMER CAMP 2003 PHOTO FUN

Ah, summer time in the great city of Chicago. No better place to be except of course at summer camp. Canoe trips, water skiing, fishing, sailing, campfires, smores…

Huh, what was that? Wrong Summer Camp… What do you mean wrong Summer Camp?

Ohhh, Summer Camp, the music festival in Chillicothe, IL! Now that's a whole different story!

Summer Camp 2003 featured Particle, Umphrey's McGee, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, The New Deal, Oteil and the Peacemakers, Drums and Tuba, JACD, Marc Broussard, Donna the Buffalo, Keller Williams, and of course four ripping sets by moe. For those of you who were there, you know the haps. For those of you who may have been elsewhere over Memorial Day weekend, don't fret I've got your fix!

A visual delight that will wet your palette and make you beg for more!

This year's Camp had a few unexpected surprises: two late night shows that featured Particle the first night and Umphrey's McGee the second night. The late nights, as they do at JazzFest, wear the body down for the following day's activities. However, as Darwin discovered, survival of the fittest always prevails! Day 2 brought out the sunshine, smiling faces, ripping music, and a brother named Jack Daniels - hold onto your hats, here comes Summer Camp Day 2.

The 2003 Summer Camp went without a hitch, as JAM and Jay Goldberg Events and Entertainment seemed to work hard at improving on past Camps. The late nights were a great feature this year and I must admit I just love Three Sisters Park. What a great place to enjoy music, family, friends, and of course funnel cake!

With the 2003 Camp in the bag, it's time for me to go fishing!
