Attention Sector 9 fans!
We are proud to announce that this coming tour Conscious Alliance will be hosting food drives from Austin, TX thru Athens, GA. In total there will be 20 food drives encompassing 13 states. As with our past food drives in collaboration with the Conscious Alliance, there will be a poster giveaway for every participating fan that brings a minimum of 10-15 cans, of which organic food donations are especially encouraged. For these events STS9 friend and artist, Roman Villagrana, has created an 11x17 poster celebrating STS9’s winter tour and food drive events. Please check Sector 9's web site in the coming weeks for specifics about the food drives and the venues that will be hosting them.

The food drives taking place on this tour will benefit America’s Second Harvest Food Banks, specifically, an affiliate program, the “Kid’s Café.” Details about America’s Second Harvest Food Banks and the “Kid’s Café” program can be found at According to America’s Second Harvest “most comprehensive study of Hunger in the United States: Hunger in America 2001”:

The Conscious Alliance and Project Restoration

The Conscious Alliance is a grass roots organization out of Boulder, Colorado that is working to help feed the hungry in communities all across the United States. One focus of this organization is to utilize the positive support and generosity that exists within the music community to gather desperately needed supplies and funds for the hungry and other various local causes. The central objective of the Conscious Alliance is to direct resources gathered during organized charitable events, such as food drives, to Native American Communities in the given area. Currently, the organization is directing the majority of its efforts towards helping to feed the elders and children of the poorest county in the United States, Shannon County, South Dakota, where the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, of the Lakota Nation, is located.

Project Restoration is our directive project to open a food storage and delivery facility on the Pine Ridge Reservation, solely through the music community. This will be accomplished through a series of benefit shows, as well as charitable and fund raising events, at concerts all across the United States. The summer of 2002 was the kickoff of Project Restoration, which led to over 4 tons of donated food being collected and delivered. Everyone involved in the music community is strongly encouraged to contribute to this project by supporting the Conscious Alliance fundraisers and food drives. We believe that it is only as a united community that we can make a difference in helping those communities truly in need.
