Live Live Interview Archives Available For Download
Live Live (pronounced "Liv Live") is proud to offer the first installment in an ongoing series of live interviews on its website, http://homer.etree.org/livelive. The interviews are available for download, free of charge, in .mp3 format.
We currently feature interviews with Tea Leaf Green, members of Addison Groove Project, Pete Pidgeon and Arcoda, and Nikulydin. In addition to comprehensive, in-depth discussion with the band, the Live Live interviews also feature exclusive live in-studio performances, as well as recorded live performances from the bands' archives.
While most band interviews adhere to strict time and print space limits, the Live Live interviews contain up to two hours of high quality material, providing listeners and fans with a wealth of content not possible elsewhere. These interviews probe beyond a set of stock questions and prepared answers; they give fans and listeners a deeper insight into the musicians interviewed, as well as their art.
In addition to our archived interviews, Live Live offers thoughtful, comprehensive reviews of selected concerts, including Vida Blue, Townhall, Satyananda, and Spearhead.
We at Live Live are looking forward to providing more quality content for the live music community in the coming weeks and months. We are in the process of scheduling Uncle Sammy and the Mad Dog Trio for live on-air appearances, and will continue to bring our listeners all the best in live music every week.
About Live Live:
Live Live is a weekly radio show and website based in Boston, MA. We are created, produced, and staffed entirely by volunteers. Our mission is to encourage the live music experience and foster the community that develops around live music. We aim to expose our audience to music that they might not otherwise find on an increasingly homogenized radio dial. We prefer to focus on the success of the artist rather than the industry of packaging and distribution; to bridge the gap between artist and audience without losing the message under a blanket of corporate policy or play lists. In terms of live music, Live Live puts the media back in control of the people.
Live Live is broadcasted on Allston-Brighton Free Radio (www.ABFreeRadio.org), a public, noncommercial radio station in Boston. We believe that community radio is a viable, relevant, and underutilized tool with which to spread the message and moment found within live music. Being affiliated with A-B Free holds several advantages for Live Live as a music resource and for the musicians we support: We are a viable alternative media source situated in a crucial music market
We are free to play music that most radio stations will not play (i.e. music by local, unsigned, and independent artists, as well as music deemed not "radio friendly")
We are aware of, support, and further the street-level "word-of-mouth" approach to promotion and advertising
We are widely and easily distributed, FREE to the artist, and FREE to the public
