San Francisco's famed Boom Boom Room has hosted shows with Will Bernard and Motherbug, OM Trio as well as Netwerk: Electric to rave reviews from Jambase correspondents. During the 'fest, all three of these acts will be on parade for the first time to a much wider audience as Boom Boom Room Presents brings some of that tasty Cali style to the Big Easy.

The California-flavor kicks off on late Sunday night, April 28th at the Blue Nile, with renowned Berkley musician Charlie Hunter pairing up with Will Bernard, his old TJ Kirk band mate for a fiery farewell kiss to the end of the first weekend. Joining them will be Idris Muhammad and Donald "Duck" Harrison - two of the founding fathers of the Jazz-groove style. This party has already been much talked about - so much so that Melvin Sparks has already called up and demanded to play with these cats! Be one of the lucky ones to end your weekend with this show... show kicks off after Midnight.

For The 'Fest veterans hanging for the daze between, Netwerk: Electric graces the stage at Jimmy's on Tuesday, the 30th with Greyhounds and Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey joining the fray. So much talk has preceded Netwerk: Electric’s performances that you can be sure that this gig will be filled with special guests waiting to sit in with Santa Cruz’s finest.

On Wednesday, May 1st, at the Maple Leaf, Will Bernard and Motherbug will be throwin’ down some serious trip-hop, jazz funk along with their musical contemporaries OM Trio. JamBasers who have read ANY of the rave reviews about guitar wizard Will Bernard will not miss this show. Some serious throwdowns will be on display at this legendary New Orleans club. For the first time in many fests, there is really no reason to try to rest between the weekends... sleep when you’re dead!
