who cares about bonnaroo anymore??? this year they decided to post every shitty band that they have once every 5 minutes or so... just so you have to sit around and see that another band you dont want to see just got added to the lineup..... nothing against avett brothers but this has become one of the most mainstream venues in music! lame....

What's wrong with skinny jeans is pretty much the same thing that is wrong with the crowd at a Dave Mathews show

I'd say if you live on the West Coast, skip Bonnaroo and stay with Coachella, shit it seems like the same festivals anyway, but at least you got Them Crooked Vultures, Faith No More, Thom Yorke and many more there along with your Jay-Z, not that I'm happy about that, but I will say that this years announcements are ANNOYING!!! Let's let everybody sit at there computer for 20hrs to announce Norah Fucking Jones....I do wonder though if the Rumorville is true with Roger Waters playing "The Wall," cause that would make Bonnaroo this year along with The Lips playing Dark Side, but that's just a wet dream that'll never happen:(

To freetime, I'd say evaluate whether your judgment is of the music itself or the scene/theme. If the music fits an undesirable sound, then it's fair to not like them. But if it's based more on the image or perceived fan base, give yourself and them a little more opportunity. They do some really nice things. It's not mind-blowingly revolutionary, but it's not mind-numbingly repetitive or juvenile either. They have a child's energy with a growing man's insight.

BONNAROO's artisit announcement = MOST ANNOYING F*CK**G THING EVER!!!! Screw the Roo this year, its official I am not going, all because of the way the announced the line-up!

....not really, but it is a good excuse to not even think about going. Bonnaroo you can have Dave Matthews Band! Good ridence for 2010!

What's up with the old school comment format?

High Sierra needs to hurry the heck up with their line up!

First off, to each their own, but the Avett Bros are amazing. Consistently one of the best bands on tour and they write amazing songs, so yes, we do care. And Bonnaroo is still the best fest in America. You can hate all you want - and if you are only into jam music, okay, maybe not the fest for you, but if you are into all kinds of music, it's fucking mecca...

Richard Hadley. your on jam base. Of course people like their jam music here. Bonnaroo is def not even close to the best festival in america. So many far superior fests out there. You probably listen to nothing but mainstream mediocre at best rock and some weak "jam" type stuff. Love the lack of a great festival vibe. All the reasons why your bragging about roo. Some of the smaller festivals may not have a 200 band lineup, but the band they have, the vibe of the people and land, and the nice intimate feel to both the stages and the festival in general make them far better choices for me. Oh yeah, and you save money too.

Yeah ... Phish is the only band that should be able to use video announcements.

Like i said, to each their own. but mainstream mediocre crap and weak jam shit? whhaaat? lets just look at last year, where the fuck else are you gonna go see David Byrne, The Mars Volta, Band of Horses, Animal Collective (who sucked by the way), Wilco, Mule, Allen Toussaint, Dirty Projectors, Grace Potter, Badu, NIN, The Boss, and oh ya, two nights of Phish where they played w/ Springsteen? And that was just last year and just what i remember. Bonnaroo consistently brings amazing bands from a wide variety of genres. I def like big rock bands, so maybe that's why i love bonnaroo so much, but it is easily our best fest. Closest thing we have to Glastonbury for sure.

I did have one other thought i figured i'd share. i do of course know what you mean when you talk about the 'vibe' rastarusty. I'm just talking about the music at bonnaroo. for the vibe and the hang, i go to high sierra or maybe even NWSS b/c Horning's Hideout is so sweet, and there are tons of other great fest. believe me, i like a good hang, but when it comes to the music, bonnaroo kills it for me just about every time. anyway, one man's trash is another man's treasure, wouldn't be that sweet if we all loved the same shit.

Man these guys suck. They blew it at ACL now they make this video? Learn how to record your band!! Sounds like you recorded the song with an H2 Recorder...

Why is it so cool and clever when Phish does a video announcment but if any other band does it, they suck? Oh right...I'm on Jambase and everybody hates on everything. Really? Even complaining about how they announce the acts...if you don't like it, wait a day and check then...or bitch about it in the comment section.
