Best known as the drummer for Galactic, Stanton Moore & friends lay down some serious New Orleans funk with jazz chops and a superbad attitude! This allstar band is hitting the road in support of Stanton’s new album Flyin’ The Koop, which is truly a must buy. Unlike his first album, Flyin’ The Koop utilizes a more modern approach to recording using all the advancements available.
For several years, Stanton's full-time occupation (does 24 hours a day count as full time?) has been as a founding member of Galactic. Their grueling, nonstop tour schedule has helped earn the band a huge following nationwide, and has established Stanton a serious reputation as a funk drummer. This reputation does not stop with Galactic. Stanton is often found laying down the beats with his N’awlins based Moore and More or in some all-star jam of sorts. This man is truly a legend in the making. Be sure to check him out with what one can only call a “dream band.”
