Aerosmith: Toys In The Attic Live

During their current North American summer tour, Aerosmith is performing their classic album Toys In The Attic live from front to back, along with an array of Aerosmith hits. This marks the first time ever that the band has played the 8-million-plus-selling 1975 disc in its entirety. The influential Toys… has inspired many musicians, including REM, who covered the title song on 1987's Dead Letter Office. In addition, a copy of the album was one of two Aerosmith albums that astronaut pilot Mark E. Kelly took with him on board the Space Shuttle Discovery on a 13-day, 8.5 million-kilometer trip to the International Space Station in July 2006.

Toys… features the hits and concert staples "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion," and the LP was featured on Rolling Stone's list of the "Greatest Albums Of All Time." Writing about Toys In The Attic in the November 1, 2003 Rolling Stone feature, the magazine said: "This is where Aerosmith perfected their raunchy blues-rock sound, with guitarist Joe Perry laying down some of the Seventies' most indelible riffs on 'Walk This Way' and 'Sweet Emotion,' and Steven Tyler stepping up with an album full of unforgettable songs about his favorite topic: sex."

The massive Aerosmith tour - presented by Guitar Hero: Aerosmith - kicked off June 10 in St. Louis. Special guests ZZ Top join the tour on June 21.
