Steve Molitz - Particle by Valerie Levinsohn
Following the Phish show on June 18 just outside Pittsburgh at the Post Gazette Pavilion there will be a three-day after-party festival about 45 minutes east of Burgettstown at the Church of Universal Love and Music in Acme, PA. RA Returns, scheduled for June 19-21 will be opening the gates to the festival grounds Thursday night for those who are not continuing on the Phish tour. The RA Returns Festival will feature a variety of groups for a weekend of lively improvisation.

On Friday night Particle will be playing two sets, as well as the Jerry Hannan Band featuring Steve Molitz, John Molo, Cody Dickinson and John Avilla (the band debuts this weekend at Bonnaroo). Gent Treadly also plays Friday as well as Saturday.

Saturday night will feature two explosive sets with the Everyone Orchestra featuring Steve Kimock, Hot Buttered Rum (who will also play their own set), Steve Molitz, Chuck Morris (Lotus), John Morgan Kimock and many others. Also on Saturday will be the Willie Waldman Big Band Project featuring Steve Kimock, Tony Franklin, Herman Green, Steve Molitz and many, many other guests. And the venue also is becoming known for their late night acoustic bonfire sets that continue until sunrise.

Sunday features Mike Doughty of Soul Coughing, Trainjumpers, the JiMiller Band and Cabinet, with more acts to be announced.

Admittance for the early arrival to the RA Returns Festival at the Church of Universal Love and Music will be of no extra charge. If you make it to the grounds before sunrise the discount ticket price of $80 will still be available, along with free camping throughout the weekend.

Directions to the venue are available at www.ilovemusicchurch.org. Tickets are $80 in advance and $100 at the door. Season passes to the venue are available for $200, which includes admittance to the festival grounds for all events and yearly camping.
