On December 26th Hammond B3 specialist Marco Benevento, of Tagine and Jazz Farmers, will pair up with drummer Joe Russo of the Open Air Ensemble, and previously of Fat Mama to perform a B3 and drum duet at The Knitting Factory (Old Office).
On the following evening, December 27th, joining Benevento and Russo will be Marc Friedman of The Slip on bass at The Knitting Factory's Old Office once again. They will playing
original music, and spontaneous grooves with influences by Tony Williams,
Medeski, and their respective bands. Enjoy this all night
affair, hosted by Velour Records with many special guests like members of
Soulive, Lettuce and many more. Marco, Marc and Joe will be performing
downstairs in the Old Office show starting at 10:30pm. Meanwhile in the Main Room of The Knitting Factory, Lettuce will be performing at 9:00pm. Come enjoy some
intimate conversations by a spectacular trio, and check out Lettuce as well. This promises to be a cross-pollination event, one that you don't want to miss.
