Sat Eye Candy: Spring!

Yesterday was the first day of spring and we didn't want to let the occasion pass without providing y'all a few soundtracks for the rising blooms and bonny breezes on the way.

We begin our seasonal salute with an ol' nerd classic from a math professor with a wicked aptitude for comedic ditties.

Next, one of JamBase's favorite bands, the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey and one of their signature compositions. This performance begins with "Thelonious Monk Is My Grandmother" before diving into their salute to springtime.

Here's a truly marvelous invitation to blossom from Jim Lauderdale and Donna The Buffalo.

Does it get any better than Tom Waits? Nope!

Next, some trio jazz gold from 1964 with great ivory master Erroll Garner with Eddie Calhoun (bass) and Kelly Martin (drums).

Let's tidy up with Rowan Atkinson, shall we?

While not a household name, The Go-Betweens are beloved by serious modern rock lovers, and jangly gems like this one are the reason why.

Back to jazz with one of its greatest ladies, joined here by Joe Pass (guitar), Tommy Flanagan (piano), Roy Eldridge (trumpet) and Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis (tenor sax ).

Barry White's mocha goddesses welcome in April showers on this boffo clip from Soul Train.

Time to go full-on disco. We'll meet you in the bathroom stall in a few minutes…

We love this planet and don't mind mixing in a lil' education with our entertainment from time to time. Here's some practical advice for tidying up that won't damage the Earth.

Tuck Andress of Tuck & Patty offers up a vibrant solo guitar interpretation of Rodgers & Hammerstein's immortal tune.

We send you out into the sunshine with dear George's quintessential song of rebirth.

And don't forget, you can eyeball video sweetness 24/7 with JamBase TV.
