If you are still trying to nail down your New Years plans and you live in the northeast, don't forget to consider this awesome collaboration. Taking one part classic Page keys, one part thumping Burbridge bass, and one part Batiste on skins, this collaboration promises to be a groovy good time. Page McConnell (Phish), Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers, Aquarium Rescue Unit) and
Russell Batiste (Funky Meters, Papa Grows Funk) will perform two year-end shows, including a New Year's Eve concert at New York City's Roseland Ballroom. The trio will also perform at Higher Ground in Vermont on December 30. The group will be performing original material that came out of recording sessions in New Orleans in September, and a studio album is being prepared for release in spring of 2002.
