BoomBox, EOTO & Pretty Lights Free Tix to "Hamptonite" holders

BoomBox, EOTO and Pretty Lights Respond to "Hamptonite" Cancelation with Free Tickets

In light of the recent cancelation of "Hamptonite" (the after Phish shows previously scheduled to take place on March 6 & 7), BoomBox, EOTO and Pretty Lights have joined together to organize a free-ticket exchange for all ticket holders who lost money on their processing fees.

Beginning February 17, all ticket holders who can prove proof of purchase will be allotted a free replacement ticket to the show of their choice in 2009, for one of the three participating acts (festival and private dates excluded).

Organizers of the free ticket exchange have set up a dedicated fax line and email account for ticket holders to submit their proof of purchase for review. The ticket exchange ends at midnight on March 17 and all approved participants will be contacted after March 18 to be given the opportunity to select their replacement show (must be a published and scheduled date at the time of selection).

Also, for those who still wish to see EOTO after Phish, their performance has been moved to The NorVa with Bassnectar on March, 6 - however due to a change in venue, purchased tickets cannot be honored at the new location.

If you purchased tickets to either the March 6 or 7 "Hamptonite" shows and would like to receive free tickets to see BoomBox, EOTO or Pretty Lights in exchange for the lost processing fees, submit your proof of purchase to one of the following outlets:

Fax: 866.540.0378
Offer ends at midnight on March, 17

nice save. this should be a pretty tight after party but im not sure if its a good transition from phish. eoto and prettylights are great(dont know too much about boombox) but still going from phish at the mothership to an electronic aftershow? guess it depends on how "up" i am after the show. i think id rather reflect on what just happened at phish instead of throwing in more music to cloud how i process whats going to happen that night. should be fun either way

very good move there. more bands should take this into their own hands like SCI has done. THey don't charge nearly as much of a fee as LiveNation/Ticketmaster. You don't have to like the band, just what they do for the fans. Plus, SCI ticketing only charges a fee for the employees at SCI ticketing to get paid.

That is what I call taking the Power back. Sure, to a certain extent everyone is in it for the money. We all need to eat and feel safe and warm but when the SCI family and these other bands respect the fans enough to compensate them for a service charge that in no way benifits them, then you know they are for real. To those going to the show...but a shirt or a CD so you know it goes straight to the band. Musicians are like doctors...and who would want to be about to have surgery and hear "I only do this gig for the money..." Big respect to those healing for the right reason.

Interesting that people think SCI is behind this... tickets are actually being offered back to fans through Tsunami Publicity. Thanks for looking out for us! Can't wait to get my ticket in exchange.
