Bruce Springsteen Tour/Album

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band U.S. and Europe Tour
New Album Working On A Dream Out Today (01/27)

Bruce Springsteen
Bruce Springsteen recently performed at the Presidential Inauguration and is set to perform at Super Bowl XLIII. His new album Working on a Dream is earning exemplary reviews. In Brian Hiatt's 5-star Rolling Stone review of Working on a Dream, he raves about its "romantic sweep and swaggering musical ambition."

People Magazine wrote, "With many of these songs itching to be taken on the road, Dream continues the classic-Springsteen revival of Magic."

Working on a Dream (Columbia Records) is now available everywhere. Working on a Dream was recorded with the E Street Band and features twelve new Springsteen compositions plus one bonus track. It is the fourth collaboration between Springsteen and Brendan O'Brien, who produced and mixed the album.

Working on a Dream Song Titles:

Outlaw Pete
My Lucky Day
Working On A Dream
Queen Of The Supermarket
What Love Can Do
This Life
Good Eye
Tomorrow Never Knows
Life Itself
Kingdom Of Days
Surprise, Surprise
The Last Carnival
Bonus track:
The Wrestler

Bruce Springsteen said, "Towards the end of recording Magic, excited by the return to pop production sounds, I continued writing. When my friend producer Brendan O'Brien heard the new songs, he said, 'Let's keep going.' Over the course of the next year, that's just what we did, recording with the E Street Band during the breaks on last year's tour. I hope Working on a Dream has caught the energy of the band fresh off the road from some of the most exciting shows we've ever done. All the songs were written quickly, we usually used one of our first few takes, and we all had a blast making this one from beginning to end."

Working on a Dream is Bruce Springsteen's twenty-fourth album and was recorded and mixed at Southern Tracks in Atlanta, GA with additional recording in New York City, Los Angeles, and New Jersey.

The Deluxe Package of Working on a Dream features a DVD showing fans the first-ever look behind the scenes at the making of a Springsteen album; nothing in the film is staged. Produced, directed, and edited by longtime Springsteen associate and Emmy and GRAMMY winner Thom Zimny, the documentary film includes in-studio footage edited to the tracks of "My Lucky Day," "Queen of the Supermarket," "Kingdom of Days," "Working on a Dream," "Life Itself," and "The Last Carnival." Fans may also revel in never-before-heard demos and early versions of various songs as they see Springsteen and the E Street Band at work from a fly-on-the-wall point of view.

I can't wait! He's been non-stop globe trotting since Devils and Dust, then the Seeger Sessions, then the Magic tour, and now this! Great show. Great vibes. I'm all in.

He's going to fly in from Norway to play Bonnaroo? Either that's not happening, or Superlfy is dishing out a HELL of alot of money to have him there.

I don't know King Rhino, I'm only through the first song, but it's an 8 minute song named Outlaw Pete and it's fairly badass. Although I'll reserve all judgement until I've listened to the full album. Chidodger -- yeah, I'd imagine Bruce will get paid fairly well to play Bonnaroo. That's just my hunch though. Probably more than you and I will make in the next couple years combined.

Long live The Boss, most young bands don't have his current musical output in their primes.

I hope Kanye West will headline Bonnaroo this year. He really captured the spirit of the event last year with his intense light show and complex beats.

Let's see how many new songs he throws at us at halftime on Sunday. Should be ZERO but I bet it isn't. Prince is the high water mark Bruce, friggin top it, you got it in you but lets see if you do.

Speaking of that, I wonder who at the Superbowl got the bright idea to start booking great artists to halftime? I remember growing up how much a joke the music was. Now they give us 3 of the greatest musicians of the last 50 years, Prince, Petty and Bruce. Keep it coming and cheers to someone getting a clue at the NFL.

I'm sure that they are not low on cash, but to fly someone in from europe to play 1 night in the states, and then have him fly back to europe to finish his tour isn't cheap. Notice when SF got away from the grass-roots bonnaroo bands and started going after The Police, Tool, Radiohead, Kanye, Metallica, and so on that the tickets sky-rocketed? all I know is, Panic, the dead, and Neil Young in 03 was, if I remember about $170 for a 3 day pass, and as of last year, superfly has been forced to set up a payment installment program just to ensure tickets get sold. And yes, the high ticket prices also help prove that superfly isn't having any financial issues.

I bet the boss puts on a hell of a show, but I am going to be honest, I hope he's not playing bonnaroo, i just wouldn't be that stoked. Neil and Crazy Horse would be so much better, Velvet Underground LATE NIGHT is what should happen!

I saw Bruce and E Street a few years back in Indy. Great show. Tons of energy and non stop performance. I have to think this kills the Roomors but who knows. If Trey can fly from St Louis to Nashville after he opened for Petty to play the Superjam... Bruce can pull this off.

He's got 4 days to make it to Roo for a Sunday night closer show. That's not that far of a stretch. Norway is what? A 10 hour flight at most?

Why would superfly have to pay Bruce to travel from Europe to Tennessee? Superfly pays Bruce just for the GIG. How Bruce handles getting between show to show is his problem and his cost. This schedule lines it up pefect for a Bruce at Roo. He comes back from europe plays a quick night at roo then chills out for a whole 2 WEEKS then flys back to Europe. I sure hope he can handle all the travel...:):)

Seeing Bruce live is like listening to him on CD- but worse. There is no innovation, there is nothing inspiring about his playing or his lyrics- Arlo Guthrie said it best- "How can someone make a living singing a song(s) this dumb? Well that's America"

U did see the gap in his schedule right? Maybe he is also hitting a family wedding or taking a vaction in florida ...who the fuck knows....but the man has two weeks to kill in the states...These guys are above traveling from show to show? That is what they do

On May 23rd he will be playin in NJ. Then one week later on may 30th he is in he took a plane...not really tough there

^ Exactly. If MyDog is right, they've got three days to get from Norway to Manchester on Saturday. That's PLENTY of time.

So they play 'roo, so they don't play 'roo; either way, they give 100% night after night. I don't understand the distaste for such a talented songwriter and amazing band. The E Street Band was born out of the jam band scene of the late '60s playing 4 hour non-stop shows with relentless touring schedules. These guys were one of the bands that helped give birth to the whole scene today, and they're still touring practically nonstop. Don't jam? You guys should check out some of Nils' solos or Max' drumming. Bruce's songwriting is in the same class as Van Morrison, Townes, and Dylan.
