16.50 come on... I mean I understand... But then again I dont.

Iclips is good, But not worth the 16.50...

i have to agree. I will never pay a cent for an i-clips stream. Even for panic, which is one of my favorite bands. Its just not worth the money. I would however shell out like $39.99 for a high quality, HD pay per view with 5.1 surround sound. I-clips is just too shoddy. i love what they do, but i've had so many problems with shitty sound, grainy picture, stream cuts...ect to ever pay for a show on i-clips. It just isn't a quality web cast. I pray to god that if Phish decides to simulcast their hampton shows they will choose HDTV pay per view or the movie theaters and not i-clips.

The simulcast is a good option for people that don't have a lot of money to something extravagant so they're just gonna have a few people over. Or maybe people that have kids or something (which means they are struggling anyway).

Basically, anybody who has the money to throw down $16.50 on a simulcast will probably find something else to go to the show.

when I first saw the headline I was expecting a theater run or pay-per-view... but iclips is just bad quality, I agree... it would have been awesome to have a movie theater play the show all over the country, get together with a bunch of diehard fans and enjoy!! that would have been good news!! by the way, why are festivals free to watch vie simulcast, but a show isn't? they are already charging up the ass for this show!! what happened to the $25 widespread ticket, every year they go up about ten bucks per ticket, and that is the band making that decision..

Yeah a bit much for a I-clips stream.

I might pay this much for a Theatre Screening??

16.50$ + my spare change = buy a bottle of tequila & watch my DVD colletion.

I am just going to go out on a limb here and I think you can stream it for free on Iclips or if you want you can pay to get it on Digome and it is DVD quality and you can watch it anytime after that.

None of you guys are going to be sitting at home on the computer probably anyway, so who cares. The money is for, as it says, a DVD quality broadcast, which their free shit is not. Plus you get to stream "well into 2009." Use something to rip the high quality stream and make a DVD so you will feel like you got something for your money and shut the fuck up.

Jesus fucking Christ, if anyone wants any money for anything, everyone here whines like an 8 year old with an allowance. If you want to see it, save some change for a while, I bet you spend more than that on beer for friday night.

$16.50 is an absolute STEAL! That's basically the cost of a few drinks. On NYE, think about it, it's TOTALLY worth it. I won't even bat an eyelash at this, done deal for me.

Its not just a typical stream from what I heard. It's DVD quality and you can watch it whenever you want and you don't have to wait for iclips to archive it. However if it's the same as every other thing they do (which is fine for free) I would be disapointed. $16.50 is worth a good quality live streamed show.

My initial reaction was not excitement, but odds are that I am going to be with a bunch of friends hanging out, watching the kids run around, so some Yonder and WSP background music could be ideal. A couple of bucks each will cover it, and if the kids do not pay up, then I give them indian burns and tell them stories about listening to shows on cassette tapes.

Wow, people actually bitching about paying for stuff. $16.50 is not that expensive. It's about the cost of a DVD. Get 3 of your friends to come over and chip in to pay for it and it's less than $5 a person.

i have to agre about the BITCHING going on. are you freaking kidding me. its $17 FREAKING DOLLARS!! thats a whopping $5 and some change.....IF you can find two friends to watch it with you. good lord. better yet go to a bar spend $60 on booze....get shot down a hundred times....get a dui on the way home and figure out how to pay to get outa jail....that sounds like a better plan

i got a better about you and two of your friends chip in $5 for some lube, then sit around in a circle watching porn for free! last one to pop a nut on the cookie has to eat it! This is FSU rules...and if te person dosent eat the cookie they have to eat mac and cheese with piss in it...also FSU rules. Don't hate me....i don't make the rules...FSU frat scene does.

iClips will be partnering with Digome for this one. You will need to download the Microsoft Silverlight plug-in to view the stream. It takes only a minute and it makes for a "buffer-free" DVD quality experience. Your $16.50 will not go to waste and you will see and hear the concert in it's entirety. Have fun and Happy NYE!

If the technology has progressed enough for this to truly be a "buffer-free DVD quality experience," this is a great deal and something I hope becomes common. I had a chance to take a little tour of the iClips operation at Sonic Bloom last year. It takes some serious gear and manpower for them to do what they do (not to mention all of the legwork to get clearances from the Artists and Promoters, who are also probably interested in a little compensation for performing and putting on the show). Producing such a webcast is an expensive proposition.

Of course we want it free; but, if we are never willing to pay for things like this, the option will certainly go away. I won't be around a computer on NYE; however, if this was available on a night when nothing else was happening, I'd be seriously tempted to hook up a projector to the laptop, have some friends over and tear it up. I'd even be willing to pony up $16.50 for each of three nights in a row on March 6,7 and 8, 2009 (how about making that happen Mr. iClips).

I love the masses commenting on things they do not even understand. The beauty of this is you get the show in DVD quality that can be watched later. You can burn as many copies as you want. Like most of you, I won't be at home on New Years either, but sometime in January or February I might just want to watch it with a couple of buddies. I guess IClips should pay for it all, so you cry-babies can just sit at home and bitch about it then. IClips is shitty quality stuff which is why it is free. Panic has sold tens of thousands of high-quality DVDs of their shows for alot more money than is being charged for this one. This is definitely not a rip-off. Stupid is as stupid does.
