The Raconteurs: 'Old Enough' Vid

The Raconteurs Release "Old Enough" Video, Work with Ricky Skaggs & Ashley Monroe

Earlier today (11/12), The Raconteurs released a new video for "Old Enough," directed by famed photographer Autumn de Wilde.

In other Raconteurs news, Jack, Brendan and the boys recently collaborated with country artists Ashley Monroe and Ricky Skaggs and, after spending a day together in a Nashville studio, the result was an amazing bluegrass version of "Old Enough" from their latest masterpiece Consolers of the Lonely (Third Man/Warner Bros). Autumn de Wilde was on hand to catch it all for a video which will be released soon. For now you can view some photos from the session by going here.

hell yeah! they won me over at Lollapalooza with a really engaging performance. I think Jack White should ditch Meg for good and stick around for a while with these guys!

One of the best bands playing right now. Saw them bring the house down in Portland.

I know some folks think there music is mostly loud, headbangin stuff, but they really bring a good mix. Go to Itunes, and just do some previewing of their stuff. Tasty.

Yeah, these guys are one of the best mainstream pop/rock groups out there. Their live show is definitely a loud rock show with some similarities to Zeppelin and the Who but their records really are pretty stylistically diverse. Also in their live show they do jam... not long crazy jams like Phish but some cool improvisations.

Raconteurs own. I hear as much Beatles influence on stuff like "You Dont Understand Me" as I do Zep and Who. This band sounds like a bunch of guys who grew up listening to really REALLY good music... which is exactly what it is. Since "In Rainbows" by Radiohead technically came out last year Im giving "Consolers Of The Lonely" album of the year honors for 2008. Yes, I think its better than "Evil Urges", but just barely. Id love to see these guys play "The Switch And The Spur" with a live horn section. That would absolutely rule.
