I can't believe I missed this show.
Man O Man
This is the Stuff that rocks your socks
I really would like to see Mule next Halloween more so than Panic
Warren really knows what is up I love him with Mule ( His Band)
Not so much with the dead (Not His Band)
is it me or does the bass player look a bit like jack white?
i can die now... when jorgen carlson came out in a lab coat n hit the first few notes of "one of these days"...i was definitley one of those people who flipped their shit..and i definitely annoyed the people around me cuz i was so ecstatic... but i cant express how f*cking incredible this show was and how tight they sounded with the new bassist. o yea i got his pick too. warren is the man... cant wait for nye!! loved the irony of opening up with "brighter days" ... they seem so far behind us now
another band that should be on a perminent tour with umphreys mcgee and moe.
warren haynes= overrated
Overrated? Get a clue.
this show was absolutely ridiculous. this author failed to mentioned a 3rd stone from the sun tease (or maybe it was mountain jam) somewhere in the first set. The lasers were ridiculous. I FUCKING LOVE THE MULE. and fuck no warren is not overrated. I got chills all up and down my spine when warren hit the solo notes in comfortably numb. MULE
I was there and it was great.
Grade A Mule show, they were tight as they could be for a one off show of another bands material. They got the vibe and played softly in order to fit the room. It worked the show was a success and Jorgan is a bad ass.
first off...canikorn I'm sick of your shitty remarks. don't read the articles if you don't like the band.
second...sweet walter and the dude costumes
WOW! This looks like this was THE Halloween show of the year! Congrats Mule! Warren is the best, and some of my fondest memories are at some of his shows... Well I'm off to get a copy of the 2nd set at least, should be nice to listen to on the way to work with a nice bowl!!!
I was lucky enough to be there and it was by far one of the best Mule shows I have seen. "Pygmie Twilight" was a highlight of the first set for me, and the Floyd stuff was intense. Jorgen is a very talented bassist, and so far I think he fits in perfectly with the band. I am might have to catch one of those NYC NYE shows.
OH and I would like to say thank you to Jambands for covering these past Halloween shows, with our favorite bands, thanks alot!
I've seen Mule around 20 times and this was the best one, hands down. The new bassist can rock and the rest of the band was on. It was the first time i've seen warren play a fender and he ROCKED, spot on for the floyd set, unbelieveable
they didnt play pygmie twilight in the first set... and this too was the first time I saw Warren play a strat. It sounded immaculate. Ive seen mule around 10 times, this was far and away the best mule show ive ever seen. FULL LASER LIGHT SHOW AND SURROUND SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!
I cant beleive I asked a few people if they were interested in going to this. Ended up going alone and couldnt miss it,....who was that jackass yelling Pink floyd sucks......??
Much of the talk will be deservedly around the Floyd second set, but the first set is not to be missed. Deep, powerful, and elegant jams winding through Gameface >> Bird ... long, seemless 'old school' journeys with Jorgen fitting in beautifully ... the Floyd material absolutely SMOKED, especially Shine On to my old ears ... a FANTASTIC night all around!!
Nice Thunderbird.
Also, I must mention Back Door Slam; their album rocks, and I would have liked to have heard a bit more about their opening set if anyone who was at this show would chime in about it.
This makes me want to go to Mule tomorrow night in Philly.
All you need to know about Candikorn72 is that he likes Jack Johnson.
Candikorn dude is a flat-out moron. He wouldn't know a talented musician if Beethoven bent him over a log.
Haynes + Scofield = Scomule anyone?
I want that referee to send me to her penalty box
HOLY SHIT!!!! I think I would have rather seen this show than Phil In NYC! However, Phil's frankenstein was spectacular! Two thumbs up to Warren for rolling out the Floyd!!!! Im just a lil' bit jealous.
i caught the end of back door slams set and i must say i was impressed. they had sum sick bluesy stuff goin on. im not too impressed with the recordings iv heard, but it was definitely a treat to watch them...how did i miss that referee chick?!!?
Hey everyone - I was hefner! That's so cool they used our pic for this article. If anyone wants a copy of the BDS set, just use this link:

I was there it was the highlight of my concerts this year!
This is good news. Going both nights of the fillmore shows! Going be sweet! Where ya at, Dauniac?
An all Floyd second set on Halloween? Are you f@#^#@ng serious? I just fell out of my chair-See you boyz in Flagstaff on 11/19/08
{whistle} Flag on the play! hot damn!
this sounds so sick. can-not-wait to hear it.
warren's the man. mule rocks.
I am listening to the show right now... Just downloaded it from muletrax.. WOW! As beautiful as it is in recorded form, it had to be mind blowing in person.... I dig Jorgen! YAY for the RE-Birth of the MULE!!!!
Thank God The good people of Hashachusetts voted to pass question 2. Add 12/4/08 to the holiday season!!!!
who the hell covers a mule show and only gets one picture of warren? and a blurry one at that.
I got my husband good and Beered up before I asked to buy tickets... he said yes... looks like I'll be seeing y'all in Asheville!
Mule and sexy referees, that concert had everything!!!!
Anyone know where I can find this show? I gotta hear this second set!!!
Groovatron,
If you go to www.muletracks.com you can pay $12.00 (I think that's the price) to download the show. It is worth the cash!
;)
"mesh Black Sabbath-heavy guitar riffs with a sense of Headhunters-era Herbie Hancock funk" -RIGHT ON!- this is so true!
MULE never stops amazing me!
third picture from the bottom i know that guy on the right, teague. too cool.
saw em in geneva the following night. bummer.
wsant a total bummer, you know the deal a day late, buck short...
This show looks insane!!!!! A full set of Floyd?!?! Uncle Warren does it again!
