In 2002/2003 Phish played a few shows after NYE...not before. Maybe we'll be getting some 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 shows?

That's what I am talking about. Love the New England Love. Will make at least one of these dates. Always loved Gordo more than any individual members' work.

I liked Mike's new show a lot. Tons of energy. Plus I love the occasional throwback tunes from Inside In, great album.

i'm sorry, but the the solo stuff the phish guys have done just doesn't do it for me, and every time one of them announces tour dates its only a few shows. i saw vida blue a few years back and that was great. haven't seen mike, so i guess i shouldn't complain, but trey's solo stuff is absolutely terrible. i don't understand why people like it, i guess because its trey. you compare any of the stuff these guys are doing now to the phish shows in the mid to late 90s and its not even in the same ballpark. someone get the band back together.

I dunno i enjoy mike gordon's solo stuff having the more phishy sound and well just enjoying mike's side projects more than anyone else from phish's solo projects. the man has stayed busy. i like most of his solo stuff. love the mike and leo shit. mike touring with the duo was fuckin awesome. even saw mike with his honky tonk outfit ramble dove. haven't seen the rhythm devils yet but i wanna catch them if im given the chance. and you know when you catch the cactus live youre gunna get a phish cover. i think it's something about mike's basslines always really stickin out to from phish and in his solo shit you can tell by the sound it's definately the same bass player weve grown to love. i've seen trey's solo shit a few times and just wasn't feelin it. nor do i really like much of his solo albums. vida blue is decent they just really never tour. like em tho. fishman's been doin his thang as well but i don't think anyone else from phish has been as consistantly on point with solo ventures like cactus. mike = MVP

earlofkent- just wondering if you have seen any of the side projects live? heard the albums? Most good, some bad. The live shows dont involve alot of singing anyways. Maybe they can get Mavis Staples on tour to make you happy?

earlofkent - Just wanted to say "Thanks" because, ya see, I'm a clueless f*ck (almost to your level) and I needed some assloaf (ie you) to tell me what I like and don't like because I'm unable to figure this difficult stuff out. It's great that there are people like you (assloafs) who are there to support me. Now please pull the dildo out of your ear and go listen to something else and report back to me, please!!!!

I understand with Trey and Mike's solo stuff it is a hit and miss. But I really enjoy alot of Trey's stuff cause it is really jazzy and Mike playing with Kottke is really cool stuff too. Ok, Trey and Mike sound like crap when they sing and their lyrics are out there but you could say the same thing about Phish, espicially listening to their early work. Just because everyone wants Phish to get back together is no reason to bomb there solo stuff.

This album sucks. The two performances I saw this year sucked. I am not sure what is really wrong with these Trey and Phish Disiples they really are not that decerning as listeners. This music sucks and is not very different or fresh. THE ONLY REASON THAT PHISH IS GOING TO PLAY TOGETHER NOW IS BECAUSE THEIR SOLO CAREERS (IF YOU CAN CALL IT A CAREER) IS ENDING FAST AS NO ONE OTHER THEN BLIND LISTENING DICIPLES ATTEND THE SHOWS OR LISTEN TO THEIR MUSIC. If they were so good on thier own they would stay apart.

Assloaf. That's fucking hilarious! Hey you deuches out there. The Kottke and Gordon stuff was awesome. Buy yourself a pool, float and chill. If that doesn't work. Put on some Antonio Carlos Jobim. If that doesn't work, stop listening to music and run for office. America loves deuches!

solo stuff is just the Boys getting tuned up...its a fact that they'll be back on stage together sooner rather then later...and I can't freakin wait!!!

earlofkent, see how much attention you got from your little tantrum? What a big boy! Mommy is making you a grilled cheese, better run upstairs!

I am amazed at how little room we allow each other for personal taste. I personally love the Leo and Mike stuff, but I was a huge Leo fan for decades before he associated with Mike- and I understand that it might not trip your trigger, that's cool. Nothing wrong with keeping an open mind and giving it all a decent listen, take what you like, leave the rest. Rocket science, I know.

Evilfunk addresses a critical point. It is unfortunate that people continue to casually assume guilt on Mike's part in that fiasco. Sure, he is a quirky guy, and while it could be asserted that he used poor judgement, he was in fact exonerated of the initial accusations and deserves to have it left behind. Onward.

I was very lucky to see Mike play in Minneapolis this tour. He brought out Leo on stage for three songs too!!! Very hip & happining. Afterward, he made himself avalible to all fans @ his sovenier stand. I was amazed not only at that, but the fact that he was selling vinyl of his new album too! Never been to a show where vinyl was sold. So I bought one, met him, & he signed it too, but not before he made me pull out the album to see that it was see-through green in color. Far out, Mike!!!

And for people comparing this to early Phish...music is a reflection of society. The early nineties were nothing like it is today. Young people in particular were a lot different then. Anarchy, anti-materialism and non-conformity were the values of the day. Kids now want bling and glitz and want to get that paper (we got paper back then too but we ate ours!) Just saying, music and art are linked to society in general. That's why Phish was so big, the people needed them and they needed the people, it was not a parasitic relationship the way it is now. People go to shows now as spectators and give nothing back to the energy/relationship. You get what you give to something.
