On October 12th and 13th Camp Buzz will return to the intimate venue of Camp America to host one of the premiere Midwest music festivals. The Camp Buzz Fall Ball 2001 will feature thirteen live bands on two stages. Another great line-up is in store: Ray's Music Exchange, Umphrey's McGee, Schfvilkus, Admiral Walker, Catawampus Universe and Iggy, will be joined by Moon Boot Lover, The Big Creak, Soma, AM Flavor, The Lemmings and Smiley Pimp Style.
This summer Camp Buzz found a wonderful venue and is pleased to call Camp America home. Located with in minutes of Oxford, OH and Hueston Woods State Park, Camp America is nestled on 40+ acres of wooded hills with hiking trails and meandering streams. Many hidden away spots are available to set up a perfect camp, where you can enjoy nature for its beauty and music at its finest.
With the release of their new album, Turanga, Cincinnati-based Ray's Music Exchange has hit the road to spread their truly innovative hybrid sound over the Colorado Rockies and back. To culminate their whirlwind tour, Ray's will once again join the Camp Buzz line-up as our headlining band on Friday night. The band's unique combination of jazz fusion, funk, rock and jazz avant-garde will guarantee you a booty shaking , foot thumping good time. Admiral Walker will warm up the Main Stage on Friday night.
Coming off a record breaking tour, Camp Buzz is pleased to welcome Umphrey's McGee, the Chicago-based whiz kids with an intricate improv style. As one of the nation's premiere jam bands, Umphrey's is set to headline Saturday night at Camp Buzz. With their one-of-a-kind guitar jamming, this home spun, Hoosier-spawned, guitar-based psychedelia, will keep you rocking hard into the wee wee hours. Funky Moon Boot Lover will preceed UM on the Main Stage.
Camp Buzz always prepares tasty treats for festival lovers and this October Fall Ball will be no exception. Smiley Pimp Style, an undiscovered gem of a band, will play Saturday on the Boogie Barn stage. We guarantee you have seen and heard nothing quite like these guys! Iggy, four young and super-talented musicians, hailing from the Pittsburgh area will play a full set in support of their new album, Shell. The Big Creak, Columbus jam favorites, will burn up the Main Stage with riffs and rolls that keep music lovers moving in all directions.
