Molitz's Region Of Darkness

Molitz's Region Of Darkness

Steve Molitz
Los Angeles' Wagatail Productions is happy to announce the debut concert of West Coast rock arsenal, REGION OF DARKNESS. The band features keyboardist Steve Molitz (Phil Lesh & Friends, Particle), drummer Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction, Porno for Pyros), guitarist Josh Clark (Tea Leaf Green), bassist Steve Adams (ALO, Big Light, Pat Monahan,), and vocalist Adam Iscove (Allrise, Particle feat. Robby Krieger), all of whom have been a special part of Wagatail from the start of the company.

This no holds barred collective will debut a number of new originals, classic covers, and spontaneous improvisations. Catch R.O.D. with LOTUS and BLVD at the ROXY in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday October, 16, and again Friday, October 17 at Winston's in Ocean Beach, CA for a full headlining show.

That's some really good musicians playing together. Perkins and Adams is going to be a serious flucking rhythm team, and Josh and Steve as the instrumental pointmen is bound to be good. Color me curious.

Down to earth guy? Molitz is one of the more arrogant players in the jam scene today. Especially since he randomly made it into Phil's band, and in my opinion has only brought the music down a notch. "Region of Darkness" seems like a good name for a band headed by such a cocky, overrated jerk.

molitz is talented, as a whole i dont think Particle brings that much to the table (w/o a good guitartist), there songs all kinda seem the same after afew /they COULD add some Dynamics to there music if molitz didnt drive every talented guitarist out of the band... i think molitz thoughts are - we add a sick lead guitarist were too similar to phish/ we ged rid of any talented lead guitarist its just space funk which gets boring after awhile

(gimme thumbs down pussies you know its the truth)

-on that note ill be front row for this with my particle shirt on..

I miss Winstons. Molitz is awesome. I just played a benefit show with him at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa with Willie Waldman, Darrin from Particle, and Andy Miller from the Big Wu. Definitely a great collaboration of musicians. Steve definitely puts music first. Wish I could catch Region of Darkness. Wonder where the inspiration came for the name Region of Darkness. bwahaha... good stuff.

I'm really intrigued, hope this rocks. milesgone, I saw Adam sing at the Robby Krieger show this year & was really impressed (& not in a tribute to Jim way). Long as there's good lyrics no need to worry about the vocals. Wait, now I'm worried.

Way to go. Ben and Wagatail are bringing some great stuff to SoCal. Winston's show in the Peoples Republic of Ocean Beach will be smokin'. Should have Underground Orchestra do some shows together. Great lineup and can't wait to catch this..............OB Forever.

Steve Molitz looks like Kenny Loggins or a miniature version of jesus. I cant believe you idiots like him, I can't even look over to the left side of stage during Phil and Friends. I've come to a firm conclusion about this scene: Those of you that are into queer business like Steve Molitz is simply because you haven't seen a good keyboard player play on a consistent basis to make him look like a fool, ie: page from Phish, Jojo from Widespread, Bruce Hornsby, etc NOT BABY JESUS. And the only reason people know who this guy is is because Phil hired him because Rob Barracco bounced.
