National Public Radio broadcast an audio feed live from the 2008 Newport Folk Festival this past weekend. Trey Anastasio's set will be available soon (listen to it here). Jump to NPR's Newport Folk Festival Live page to see the full listing.

Also up are sets by MMJ's Jim James (find it here), She & Him (find it here), Steve Earle (find it here), Gillian Welch (listen to it here) and more.

You can chime in about what you hear at the Newport Folk Festival Chat Room, where no one is likely to be outraged by anyone going electric.

They just reported on NPR that he won't be on until 5:20. You heard it right here. Stop the thumbs-downs, haters!!!

I think they may have vastly underestimated the traffic for Trey since it was working fine earlier. The good news is the archived sets play fine. I'm listening to Jim James' shimmering set right now. So, once Trey is done it should be up to enjoy at your leisure.

I can't wait to hear the Classic TAB show in a few days. That is going to be the shiz-nizzle. Listening to the TAB trio show from the Filmore '99 right now :)

Man, i wish could afford All Points West. Not only are the tics damm expensive, but there is no camping and you have to pay to take the ferry in from New York. Kind of a rip off that they offer transportation for a fee.

Is it me, or is that a lot of Phish songs for a Trey set? I notice no YEM, so he must still be ballin' with a pair.

Newport Folk Fest was great musically, but a ton of uptight people/disinterested old people there...

Thanks for updating as new stuff gets uploaded! Was dying to hear the Trey stuff as Jim James' was fantastic quality.

@AintNoFreedom - Did you go? Because it's too funny you would say that. I've been to Newport a lot my whole life...just never was able to catch a Folk Festy...but your description is dead on what I would expect! :P

I went to Newport last year. It's a family type of event, lots of kids, lots of older people. I mean Dylan did play there in the mid sixties, so it's age appropriate. Trey should have been at Vibes instead...

adam, Trey could play at a festival like "Vibes" any day he wanted to. To be asked to play at Newport is an honor, though it might not be a jam festival, come on man you gotta be kidding me saying that!

Yea, I was there. First time. Despite some of the drawbacks, with sailboats all around and seagulls overhead... there's really no better place to see Jimmy Buffet. Also, I caught Jim James perform 3 separate occasions, not further than 20 feet away each time. (He had his own set and also came out with Calexico as well as She & Him).

I can't find a link for the audio yet to this. It is really great to start seeing so many festivals with both streaming audio and video online.

Brian and Robert - my favorite Phish song - going to be interesting to hear 100% Trey.
