The international band of mystery has found its way out to the Bay Area to end the summer in style. SEX MOB, the New York City quartet led by Steven Bernstein, the man with the golden trumpet, will be invading the Elbo Room in San Francisco this Tuesday, September 4th, for a special evening to kick off the autumn right. Nothing’s sacred in Bernstein’s repertoire as the band attacks the great composers and songwriters of the twentieth century, from Ellington to Cobain. Also, keep your eyes open for Sex Mob’s latest release, SEX MOB DOES BOND, featuring John Medeski on the keys coming on September 18th on ropeadope records. In the meantime, be sure not to miss the MOB when they hit your town.
