I'm not planning on seeing Dave, I'm going to Roth to see (not all inclusive) RRE, Micky Hart, STS9, Yonder w/fish, Keller, Trampled by Turtles, Emmitt-Nershi band, Trey, Gordo, Gov't Mule, Primus, Snoop, and Phil and Phriends (yes that's with a 'Ph' cause that set's gonna be phishy)

Your in my Prayers LeRoi..On another note DMB at Rothbury may be the best DMB concert in a Decade and one of the Craziest. Line up: Tim reynolds, Jeff Coffin, Trey is going to jam (my predictions), Good Chance Warren haynes comes in and jams..Only God knows, what other surprises will come. Im soo Pumped..1 day 19 hours....

whoever doesnt want dmb at rothbury can just go do a bunch of 'cool' drugs during his set. go do your drugs while i listen to some great live music you fake ass music fans. you dont have to see dave even though his show is going to be the shit. get better leroi and im curious to see what the set will be like without you.

How does this thread turn into a contest of which band is best at Rothbury? So sorry to hear this Leroi. Hope you recover soon and fully. Coffin is outstanding and an interesting choice to fill in, but lets give some credit.....Leroi can blow that horn!

Rothbury would not be happening at all if it weren't for DMB. The money behind the whole festival is from Coran Capshaw, Dave Mathews Band's manager. Plus look at the lineup...all the other bands combined are barely worth the number of tickets that DMB is worth.

That aside, are some of you seriously bashing the career of a man who is fighting for his life? You have no fucking class whatsoever.

Now listen I have a saying about Dave Matthews Band, it goes like this: "Dave Matthews band is the light beer of jam bands". That's not necessarily a bad thing. If you really like jam bands, then you would like to hit up the Phil and Friends or the Panic shows if you can. But we all know sometimes you can't, and sometimes you have to go with the light beer. It reminds you of good beer, and hell you drink enough of it you're getting pretty damn close. Likewise, DMB is a good band, but by the end you're left just wanting more jam in your jar. I can still dig though!

Anyway, it's a real sad day for all music fans, the short blurb on him makes it sound scary does anyone have any details? Do they know if he's getting better? I hate the sound of "serious condition!"

Leroi Moore is my favorite sax player alive and I feel very saddened by this news. I send him and his family my prayers. I truly hope he will be ok.

On a side note, Jeff Coffin is one of my other favorite sax players alive right now and I really look forward to hearing reviews of how well he holds up in Leroi's absence.

yeah that sucks, ATV's are super dangerous if your climbing hills, they can roll and weigh so much that it'll crush your ass. Serious doesnt mean critical, so thats good. If he was critical I'd be thinking brain trauma, breathing tubes, collapsed lungs. This may be just some badly fractured bones or injuries he can recover fully from.

wow, saw a few people throwing some hate towards the direction of Moore (like "siren" up at the top). that is shameful, all i can really say. karma will come your way...

I'll tell you what really sucks. Idiots that would come onto a news item about a musician that has just been seriously injured, and tell everyone, like we need to know your small-brained opinion, that the band he plays in, or musicians he plays with, sucks. Instead, go and tell the dude sleeping on the coach in your trash filled, bug infested room, your brilliant opinion. You'd be way further ahead, and you'd make yourself feel just as good. Prayers be with you LeRoi. We'll see your bros in DMB w/Jeff @ Roth, and with an open mind to all musicians and collaborations that develop there. And isn't that one of the beauties of this scene?

leroi is so awesome i hope he gets well soon. jeff is a great fill-in. wish i could see one of those shows.

You guys seem upset that the band that introduced a lot of you to the genre of music that you love is selling out stadiums consistently. The crowd isn't very good, but the music is always on point. MarkBc, I like that. My first beer wasn't a smoked porter or anything. Get better Leroi. We love you. Some people just don't like to admit it.

Sorry to hear about the unfortunate accident. Hope he pulls through. Altough I wasn't planning on watching DMB at Rothbury, I love Coffin, and I definately will check out DMB's Rothbury set now.
