I'm not planning on seeing Dave, I'm going to Roth to see (not all inclusive) RRE, Micky Hart, STS9, Yonder w/fish, Keller, Trampled by Turtles, Emmitt-Nershi band, Trey, Gordo, Gov't Mule, Primus, Snoop, and Phil and Phriends (yes that's with a 'Ph' cause that set's gonna be phishy)

Line up: Tim reynolds, Jeff Coffin, Trey is going to jam (my predictions), Good Chance Warren haynes comes in and jams..Only God knows, what other surprises will come. Im soo Pumped..1 day 19 hours....

whoever doesnt want dmb at rothbury can just go do a bunch of 'cool' drugs during his set. go do your drugs while i listen to some great live music you fake ass music fans. you dont have to see dave even though his show is going to be the shit. get better leroi and im curious to see what the set will be like without you.

Rothbury would not be happening at all if it weren't for DMB. The money behind the whole festival is from Coran Capshaw, Dave Mathews Band's manager. Plus look at the lineup...all the other bands combined are barely worth the number of tickets that DMB is worth.

That aside, are some of you seriously bashing the career of a man who is fighting for his life? You have no fucking class whatsoever.

Now listen I have a saying about Dave Matthews Band, it goes like this: "Dave Matthews band is the light beer of jam bands". That's not necessarily a bad thing. If you really like jam bands, then you would like to hit up the Phil and Friends or the Panic shows if you can. But we all know sometimes you can't, and sometimes you have to go with the light beer. It reminds you of good beer, and hell you drink enough of it you're getting pretty damn close. Likewise, DMB is a good band, but by the end you're left just wanting more jam in your jar. I can still dig though!

Anyway, it's a real sad day for all music fans, the short blurb on him makes it sound scary does anyone have any details? Do they know if he's getting better? I hate the sound of "serious condition!"

Leroi Moore is my favorite sax player alive and I feel very saddened by this news. I send him and his family my prayers. I truly hope he will be ok.

On a side note, Jeff Coffin is one of my other favorite sax players alive right now and I really look forward to hearing reviews of how well he holds up in Leroi's absence.

yeah that sucks, ATV's are super dangerous if your climbing hills, they can roll and weigh so much that it'll crush your ass. Serious doesnt mean critical, so thats good. If he was critical I'd be thinking brain trauma, breathing tubes, collapsed lungs. This may be just some badly fractured bones or injuries he can recover fully from.

wow, saw a few people throwing some hate towards the direction of Moore (like "siren" up at the top). that is shameful, all i can really say. karma will come your way...

Idiots that would come onto a news item about a musician that has just been seriously injured, and tell everyone, like we need to know your small-brained opinion, that the band he plays in, or musicians he plays with, sucks. Instead, go and tell the dude sleeping on the coach in your trash filled, bug infested room, your brilliant opinion. You'd be way further ahead, and you'd make yourself feel just as good. Prayers be with you LeRoi. We'll see your bros in DMB w/Jeff @ Roth, and with an open mind to all musicians and collaborations that develop there. And isn't that one of the beauties of this scene?

You guys seem upset that the band that introduced a lot of you to the genre of music that you love is selling out stadiums consistently. The crowd isn't very good, but the music is always on point. MarkBc, I like that. My first beer wasn't a smoked porter or anything. Get better Leroi. We love you. Some people just don't like to admit it.

Sorry to hear about the unfortunate accident. Hope he pulls through. Altough I wasn't planning on watching DMB at Rothbury, I love Coffin, and I definately will check out DMB's Rothbury set now.

Well, I hope LeRoi's ok, that guys got soul. DMB is a great band, I love a good deal of their music, some of it, I'm not so much a fan of, but last time I checked I'm not God so in light of this sad story I can't believe people are asserting their negative opinions, "O you might die, well, your band sucks, but like it's sad that you might die, but just remember, your life's work, it sucks, but I hope you don't die though." Unbelievable.

On a positive note, Jeff Coffin with DMB should be pretty amazing, did I hear somebody say Tim Reynolds is jamming with em too. That could be the heat. Technical skill wise coffin's the man but it's not the same DMB without LeRoi Moore.

Actually no, i dont like big fests. Went to roo, didn't enjoy it. Just too big for me. high sierra, 10k, all good, waka, langerdo, ect are my favorites.

Roo = ( 80000 peeps, (30000 sketchy ass mofo's). I can't handle it. I can handle the "sketchiness" is the line up is worth it. If you get your hand on a free ticket come then! You def. won't regret it. Or if you want smaller that's fine, watever floats your boat. I can't wait to see all the good artists and PHil and Trey!! It's going to be epic for sure. Weather is looking great too.

PS: Going "green" is the cool thing to do now a days, I hope they can pull it off.

And there's no way in hell anyone can say that coffin is better than Leroi.

Leroi will be missed dearly, but Coffin will be a nice fill-in. If you think for a minute that this will make DMB put on a better performance, than enjoy it while it lasts. As for me, Leroi is the man, and unparalleled by any other sax player. He can mix styles so fluently and he is so precise. He knows when to play, and when to stay in the dark. a truly amazing musician. Sorry if you think just bc Coffin is in the flecktones that the DMB has just upped their hippie status to acceptable. But enjoy it as you will. I know I'll enjoy it and will still be missing Leroi at the same time. Peace

Haven't been into DMB since 2000 or so. I do see how they helped open my musical ears to the jam scene. After Live at Luther College I think their style took a turn a didn't like and I haven't bought an album since. Live at Red Rocks will always be a good one and I still will listen to Crash or Under the table some.

Just saw that LeRoi's condition has been upgraded to fair. Here's hoping for a good recovery!

Man, I love jambands and always will. But a lot of you guys make me sick. I can't believe how narrow minded a lot of the people are on here. It's like one of those "my dad can beat up your dad" fights that pre-schoolers get in to. Leroi is seriously injured and people have to say the band sucks. Who cares if they do, who cares if another band on another article does? Do you have to come out and state a negative opinion on every band that somebody writes about on here? Because a negative opinion or a my band is better than your band comment is always (or 95 percent of the time) posted. Get over it and quite giving this scene negative vibes. Anyways, get better Leroi.

I used to be a huge DMB fan in HS and part of college but no longer a fan. I think DMB puts together great music but I hate being around young douche bag abercrombie wearing kids. The same douche bag crowd exists at PANIC shows except for they wear croakies and they are fratastic.

For the idiots out their saying DMB sucks, you obviously don't understand what music is. PANIC is southern rock, not a jam band (I am a big panic fan and I have seen them 4 times already this year in DC and NY, plan on going to another show this month in Charlotte). Seen Panic over 20 times...

Some people are going to think PANIC sucks but it's their opinion, lets all enjoy the music while we have it! DMB, Panic, Phil Lesh won't be around forever. For those who enjoy DMB, keep rocking! I can't wait till phish and hopefully string cheese get back together.

I am very glad LeRoi is getting better even though I am not a fan. I would never wish anyone harm and I think most of the people who posted negative comments about the band are only talking about their musical tastes, not hoping bad things happen to them. Oh, and no wonder people make fun of hippies, am I the only one that can spell words correctly? I don't care for DMB, I don't enjoy the music, and the scene is full of trust fund hippies driving range rovers and young girls who just want to wear hippie looking clothing. I did, however, have respect for them until they started dumping feces across the country:)

alright, i know im gonna get a bunch of thumbs down but moore isn't really that good. before he was with dave he was a bum on the corner, literally (you know, the corner at uva). and it's unfortunate the band didn't just disband after the incident, then coran capshaw's reign of terror would start to erode and i could have my hometown back. but yeah, jeff coffin is one of the best sax players out there IMO. I'll be interested to hear what dmb sounds like with him.
