sucks they're only doing major cities. saw them at the taft theater in my hometown, cincy. the show was brilliant. guitarist plays with a violin bow for the entire time, drummer plays with soft mallets(spelling?), the music just swells up and builds and builds.

they really know how to create musical tension. everyone in the room was silent for the entire show. amazing.

i'd love to see these guys again.

You're going to say all of that based on a webcast?! Maybe it's not your thing, but this band is something special.

I'd hate to sound like an asshole but if you don't at least appreciate what Sigur Ros is doing than you are hopeless when it comes to music in general. canoftunapudding might as well just give up on listening to music because you FAIL.

Wow! If you find this stuff as depressing as you seem to be interpreting it, what the hell would you say of the stuff King Crimson has been putting out recently??? You'll probably go through with your suicidal tendencies.

they are a good band but if ambient music kills you you'd hate my music too! Unless im drunk and i feel like a hip hop track from back in da day when i thought i was a space gangster. i.e. my plastic dinosaur stuff.

red rocks! wahoooo!! also, tuna - pretty ignorant to assess a whole band's catalog based off of one webcasted tidbit. if you want to check out some of their more high-tempo music, check out the album "()"

I grabbed a pair for Red Rocks in the pre-sale!

It was a tough conflict with Phil @ Roo, but I hung in there with him -- and really don't regret that. You can imagine how fucking happy I was to see this date when I got home! I haven't seen the band since 2002, so I'm long overdue...

Grateful Dread

Not really fair to judge a band like this based on a webcast. I was at part of their Bonnaroo set but left after a while to check out Phil. Trying to step over sleeping hipsters on the grass while tripping wasn't very easy. If I had gotten there earlier and was upfront, I would have stayed longer. To truly appreciate them, check out an intimate, seated show in a real venue. Bonnaroo, let alone a webcast of Bonnaroo, is not an ideal introduction to the beauty that is Sigur Ros.

I have never in my life given less a shit about the haters of this band. Their set at Roo made my knees quiver - if you are a true intrepid musical and psychadelic voyager, this band is on an entirely new level. The energy in that tent was just as powerful as MMJ's set in the rain. Don't be fucking scared!

I think we all know quality when we hear it. That's partly why we decided to go to most of the shows on this tour. Well, that was until we realized that the dates were selling out and it wouldn't be fair to take up seats at every show. Anyhoo, we did this Webzine called 30 days on the road. Check it Let me know what you think. Peace.
