The Disco Biscuits released the following message Wednesday regarding the festival that bears their name.

A Message to the Fans regarding Camp Bisco 2001:

It is with profound disappointment that we announce that Camp Bisco 2001 will not take place. A series of setbacks has severely stalled the process and we feel it would be irresponsible to continue working on the event. Camp Bisco is the pride of our organization, and in no way would we compromise what the fans and band have come to expect from the weekend. We truly believe that “Bisco” is something special and that our fans deserve the very best. As work progressed on the event, it became more and more clear that our vision was not being realized, and rather then proceed in a substandard situation, we will turn our focus to the end of the year, and several other projects with which we are currently involved.

For the good news, we are playing many shows through the end of the year. Some of the highlights will include:
Bisco Knights! August 25-26 in Wilmington, DE [Win Tickets]
Halloween at W.O.W. Hall in Eugene, OR!!!
Two Nights at the Fillmore!!!! San Francisco, CA November 23 – 24
Two Nights at the 9:30 Club!!! Washington D.C. December 7 – 8

Plus, a very special New Years Eve run that will put us right back into the heart of Bisco!

So, although we share in your disappointment over Camp Bisco, be assured that all of our effort is going into making the rest of 2001 epic. We can’t wait to start the fun back up again, and we hope that all of you can come along.

Have a great end to the summer, and we’ll see you in the fall.
