I just saw that article on Pitchforkmedia.com too. Why do these indie kids hate all jambands so much? Is it because most so called "jamband" musicians actually are extremely talented in their craft? Is it because they make indie/emo bands look talentless?

Sorry dude, but i think it's just as funn when people make fun of Jambands as they do indie bands. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of shitty shit within all genrs of music which proves to be the rotten apple that can spoil the bunch for some. I can't stand all the stuffy ass hipsters and bland ass indie rock that is out there. Yet what it all boils down to it that there are more shitty jambands per good jambands than there are shitty indie bands per good ones. Too man Jambands are just sounding stale and they noodle too effing much. And there is more douche bag in attendence at their shows. Go to a Disco Biscuits show and tell me that there arent people there who you would just like to throw tire jack at. I just cant stand all the assholes at festivals who go into your tent and steal shit while I'm out grooving to the tunes. A lot of it sounds the same.

I'm like Dave Chapelle. I dont single anybody out. I'll make fun of everybody. It's just that Jamband fans have more fodder.

But music is music and people are people and there are bound to be the ones who will annoy the piss out of you no matter where you go.

Ha ha ha....Throw a tire jack at...I like that. I went to a disco biscuits show here in San Diego and to be honest, the fans really weren't very sketchy. Now I imagine if I was in like Philly the fans would be much different. They would probably be snorting Special K, huffing nitrous, smoking deemsters and stealing more shit than a band of gypsies. I wonder how the bisco kids became such a bunch of little ecstasy loving shitheads? I would have to disagree with you on the shitty indie bands to good indie bands ratio. Probably a lot more shitty indie bands per good indie bands IMO.

Yeah, most Philly and East Coast Bisco kids are about as irritatng as a case of the crabs. And a lot of them probably have them to because they dont wash. Other's some to the show in their popper collers and varsity letter jackets.

i just think your views on music suck man. Everyone is different. and if it really angers you that much to go to a great crazy show like bisco with a bunch of different kids then you all over the place, then you need to relax...no one wants a tire jack thrown at them, nor is anyone going to cause you harm. so just have fun and appreciate jam band music. peace
