Apparently, Jack Johnoson spent all winter recording a new album abd blowing every festival promoter in the continental U.S. .....

I don't know if that's a festival line-up or the billing for the KRAP FM 101.9 Christmas Jingle Ball Jam .....

Kanye West?

Hello ..... 2006 called and wants it's hot rap artist of the year back

What is this venue like? Anyone been to this festival before? I believe it's first year in the USA was 2006.

We shouldn't base our decisions on the first few bands! There is a possibility Red Hot Chili Peppers could be a headdie there.

Apparently a full blown STP reunion is happening. Dates are popping up across the country. Weiland will probably buckle under the pressue.

I went in 06. Venue is pretty standard, just a racetrack infield. Not really enough vendors/selections/space. There was a problem with crossover noise from the two stages. It was a one day thing then and less expensive. The lineup isnt what I'm looking for so I wont be going again

Its good to see the Jambase people having some fun with "suprising" news of Jack Johnson being a head liner. Also, STP reunion would be great!

Foo Fighters have proven to be a band with integrity and talent. Nine Inch Nails have also stood the test of time and produced some killers in the process. Although I am not a fan of his music, Jack Johnson doesn't seem like he's out to hurt anyone. Not to mention, the man built his own "green" recording studio and supports environmental conservation. Stone Temple Pilots made their mark upon the grunge movement and are cool if you can see past Scott's antics. I just don't know about Kanye, though. I'll give you that he puts out some catchy and even entertaining music but most of what I've been exposed to is riddled with egotism, nay-narcissism and racism. I'm sure I'm sticking my neck out on this one but when are we going to see the day that the injustices of the past are not used as a crutch for the generations of today and those descending from the perpotrator's not held accountable for the mistakes of their forefathers? I would like to see it identified that racism has no place anywhere, especially music.

The STP reunion is definitely one that I'm looking forward to catching. There's no doubt that Scott will bring it; he is one of the most engaging front men in all of rock - just incredible energy. Velvet Revolver is just now winding up a year+ tour with no major problems, and Scott is jumping out to continue touring. Velvet Revolver put on an amazing show when I caught them last year, and the STP songs played sounded great.

cuttyfives have you ever seen or listen to kayne west? He sucks live just like most rappers, and his music sucks as well. hes a piece of trash that deserves to never play in any festival ever. Look back at lolla in 06, it was the worst shit i have ever heard. NIN is awesome STP reunion is awesome cuttyfives is not awesome. Has any one ever seen the video of Kayne crying at the MTV music awards because he didnt win? funniest shit ever.

NIN is the only one worth seeing. Foo Fighters are cool i guess, but they seem kinda generic. This is not a Jam fest, So I'm not hating on different kinds of music, but Kayne? Come on dude, your a fool. This is the one festival that Jack Johnson should headline. I'm not a fan of him headlining anywhere, but If he has to, this is it. NIN would be really cool to see though. this is only 15 min. from my house, So I'll probably be there. There should be some other really cool, and also, really crappy bands announced for this festy.

I usually try not to be a hater, but yeah, I'm with you guys...Kanye West is teeeeeeeeeeerrible. I love hip-hop, but boy do I hate Kanye West. I loathe arrogant d-bags like him, especially arrogant d-bags who dress like idiots and wear sunglasses indoors. And sleewell, dude...Kanye stopped putting all of himself into his music after his first album. I'll admit, it was decent, but certainly not good enough for him to feel as entitled as he does. He sucks.

Hell yeah rhythmic_randomness. I was just sayin the same thing on the El-P Dizee Rascal post. This racism $hit is mad plaid out. I know people haven't all changed, but how long will people continue to use that as the foreground for speaking. Its old and time people got over it. You know how to end racism, ignore it. If you don't feed them energy then they'll burn out in time.

why is it that bob dylan isn't even close to being one of the big acts at this thing. If I were coordinating this, the festival would be surrounded around him! If it wasn't for him, there would be no festivals.

I hope that Bob Dylan is playing right before or right after NIN. That would be a great culture clash donchathink? Is this what passes for nearly $100 a day worth of entertainment nowadays??? SAD! It's got something for everyone and crap for the rest of the day. Looking at this lineup how can anybody be excited to see more than 3-4 bands total? Where's the theme?

CaptColorado starstarstar Tue 4/29/2008 05:39AM

On a side note, if Scott Weiland can get his act together it would be cool to see STP play again. Velvet Revolver was not good. STP were a stapple of MY 90's music library. Someone should tell Scotty to just say NO to H, and stick to the WEEEED!
