Steve Molitz Tour News

Steve Molitz Joins Phil Lesh, EOTO, and Banyan for West Coast Tours

Steve Molitz by E. Gardner
After spending January writing and recording new material, Steve Molitz will hit the road with friends both new and old. He'll return to Phil Lesh & Friends for a four show run including the Mardi Gras Ball at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on January 26. Then he'll join EOTO (featuring Michael Travis and Jason Hann from String Cheese Incident) for a week long tour of improvised electronic music. The idea for the tour emerged after Travis, Hann and Molitz first played together as part of the Symbiosis Orchestra at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on December 29, 2007. From there, Molitz will reunite with Banyan for three shows in the San Francisco area featuring longtime pals Stephen Perkins, Rob Wasserman, and Willie Waldman among others.

Three of my current FAvorite bands all involve Molitz and Particle is NOT one of them. Banyan (sick, sick, stuff), EOTO, and Phil and Friends'!

Banyan and Eoto and Genre-crushing groups. Great lineup. Too bad, no east coast. (i know, i know, start the violin)

Detroit Funk

most of you guys are retarded or just living under a rock, Charlie just played at the NAMM jam like a week and a half ago, along with members of UM, Moe, Zilla, Ben Combe, and the list goes on. I hear it was pretty sweet. And Particle is looking for a guitarist and releasing an album in the near future. I love particle, but I don't mind seeing molitz play out with all of these other stellar musicians. Hope his splits equal time this year with Phil and Particle.

EOTO free in Tahoe .... ummm, yeah- I'm THERE. After catching Zilla twice in the Crystal Bay Club's intimate Red Room, I we know what's in store ... EPICNESS (and the price is DAMN right)!!! ;-)
