HeadCount Details Fare Thee Well Signed Guitar Auction

HeadCount has announced details of the auction of a signed commemorative D’Angelico guitar signed by original Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir at the upcoming Fare Thee Well: Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead concerts in Santa Clara on June 26 -27 and Chicago on July 3 -5. The one-of-kind axe will also be signed by Fare Thee Well performers Trey Anastasio, Bruce Hornsby and Jeff Chimenti.




Part of the Participation Row dedicated area which will be present at both venues hosting Fare Thee Well shows, proceeds from the silent-auction will benefit 17 non-profit organizations chosen by Hart, Kreutzmann, Lesh and Weir, including The Rex Foundation, The Unbroken Chain Foundation, The Rainforest Action Network, SEVA and HeadCount.

“The signed guitar will be a unique piece of music history,” said Andy Bernstein, executive director of HeadCount.  “It’s a great way to raise funds for charities that have been an integral part of the Grateful Dead community for decades.”

The only signings featuring the entire Fare Thee Well band are being reserved for this charity auction which also includes a custom signed Remo drumhead as part of the Participation Row silent auction. The Participation Row charity auction will be located near Section 101 at Levi’s Stadium for the Santa Clara Fare Thee Well shows, and near Section 117 at Soldier Field for the Chicago Fare Thee Well shows.
