Live Nation Purchases Bonnaroo

Founding Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival organizers Superfly and AC Entertainment have agreed to sell controlling interest in the multi-day festival to Live Nation. As part of the partnership Live Nation assumes part ownership in the Great Stage Park festival grounds, or The Farm in Manchester, Tennessee. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Superfly and AC Entertainment will stay on to manage the festival and its initiatives including Bonnaroo’s non-profit arm, the Bonnaroo Works Fund and other sustainability and community building efforts.The 2015 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is scheduled for Thursday, June 11 through Sunday, June 14.
“We are strengthening our commitment to create the best possible experience at Bonnaroo,” said Rick Farman, co-founder, Superfly. “Through this partnership with Live Nation, we’re even more empowered to enhance the festival while preserving the integrity of the event that we’ve thoughtfully built over the past 14 years.”
Yesterday, Bonnaroo announced an exclusive three-year pact with Red Bull Media House to livestream the festival. Billy Joel, Mumford & Sons, Deadmau5 and My Morning Jacket are among the Bonnaroo 2015 headliners.
