nice pics rod! of course i would have loved to hear a review to go with.. but thats just me being selfish because i do love me some neil young!

would have been great to see him at a smaller size venue like this and the set list looks killer! a man needs a maid! , harvest! , the loner....

i do notice he is still doing the hurricane closer which is cool and all - last couple times i saw him he closed with soaring mind blowing versions of this song... would be nice , however to see him re-vamp some other old classic and blow it out the same way....

GO NEIL!!!!

I've had that song Harvest Moon in my head all night after hearing it on the radio earlier. I was loving it. I feel like Neil Young's lyrics connect with me in a way that no other artist has ever done. That set list for this show looks so great.

since there was no review, i'll add some comments, i was 20th row on the floor and if you've never been to the tower, the acoustics are simply amazing...i've never been to a venue with such great sound, esp for being such an old venue. the first set was acoustic, and from the first line of from hank to hendrix i was a the breaking point of crying..that's how good neil still sounds. the acoustic set gained momentum as it went on, and neil seemed very comfortable being solo on stage. he played a good amount of piano and there was also a good amount of banter, which was somewhat mindless babbling but it was all in good fashion. overall acoustic set = golden.

the electric set was fucking out of control, probably 25+ minute spirit road jam that was only describible as an acid FREAK OUT. everyone knows this is nowhere was exceptionally grand, as was believer. the new songs have a classic light that only neil can continue to deliver. the encore was an amazing cinnamon girl and hurricane. after what was an exceptional show some dude dressed like a sultan came out and rang some huge gong, and the band camee out and played a half assed instrumental jam that really led nowhere and ended somewhat upruptly. don't get me wrong though this show was one of the best i have ever seen. and that's saying a lot. peggy is one of the cutest southern bells i have everrrr seen. her opener was good. no more no less. highlights of neil's set were From Hank To Hendrix, A Man Needs A Maid, No One Seems To Know, Harvest, After The Gold Rush, Mellow My Mind, Love Art Blues, Cowgirl In The Sand

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, Spirit Road, The Believer, No Hidden Path

hope you enjoi!
