It’s been six years since the last time Ben Harper played a publicly-announced show with his longtime backing band, The Innocent Criminals, but that will soon change. Harper has announced he’ll play a series four concerts at San Francisco’s famed The Fillmore in March.

Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals’ first dates since 2008 will take place on March 25, 26, 27 and 28 at the historic San Francisco venue. Ticketing information will be revealed soon. “I have always loved the Fillmore and its history. San Francisco is one of the greatest cities in the world and it felt like the right place for us to set sail,” Harper said in a statement announcing the shows.

For those unfamiliar, The Innocent Criminals are comprised of percussionist Leon Mobley, bassist Juan Nelson, drummer Oliver Charles, keyboardist Jason Yates and guitarist Michael Ward. The band was formed in 1993 and toured extensively with Harper for the next 15 years and appear on many of Ben’s studio recordings.
