Ryan Adams Confirmed For Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

When Ryan Adams announced his fall tour we couldn’t help but notice a gap between October 1 (Santa Barbara, CA) and October 5 (Portland, OR) in the run’s itinerary as it happens to coincide with the dates of this year’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco. Earlier today, as first reported by Jambands.com Adams confirmed he will indeed perform at HSB in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on Friday, October 3.

Last week HSB organizers shared the first 10-song medley featuring acts who will play this year’s event. Songs from now-confirmed Hardly Strictly Bluegrass ’14 acts Parker Millsap, Mccrary Sisters, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Kate York, Doug Seegers, Nikki Lane, Striking Matches, Shelly Colvin, Shawn Colvin and Buddy Miller were each included in the medley. The 2014 installment of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass will take place in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park October 3 -5. Hellman, who passed away in 2011, founded and funded Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. It was first held in 2001 and has returned each year to Golden Gate Park.
