Widespread Panic's Talking Heads Encore At Red Rocks

Georgia rockers Widespread Panic first played the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on September 14, 1991. Since that time they have returned over a dozen times for more than 40 sold-out performances at the scenic venue. Last night the band kicked off this year's three-night stand and had a fun treat in store for the end of the show.

After two power-packed sets, Widespread Panic began a three-song encore with a cover of Talking Heads' "Papa Legba." The encore continued with "Life During Wartime" before the show came to a close with yet a third Talking Heads cover - "City Of Dreams." The other big surprise was the return of "Bayou Lena" towards the end of the second set. John Bell & Co. last performed the original tune way back on November 28, 2008 - a span of 347 shows.

Tonight, Widespread Panic returns to Red Rocks for a show that will be webcast in HD and SD video formats.
