One Philadelphia-based band paid tribute to another Philly band on Saturday night at Underground Arts in the City Of Brotherly Love, when American Babies covered “Red Eyes” by The War On Drugs.

“Red Eyes” was the first single off The War On Drugs’s recently-released Lost in the Dream LP. American Babies laid down their version of the track as part of the final show of their extensive National Tour. Tommy Hamilton of the Babies has a bit of a connection with The War On Drugs as he produced former member Kurt Vile’s solo demos way back in the early ’00s.
