Back in November New Orleans funk act Dumpstaphunk visited the WXPN Studios in Philadelphia to record a session for NPR’s famed World Cafe program. Dumpstaphunk’s session premiered yesterday on the program, but if you missed it you can stream the performance via NPR’s website.

Ivan Neville and Co. treated the live and radio audience to performances of three tracks off their most recent release, Dirty Word, “Blues Wave,” “Dancin’ To The Truth” and “Water.” “Any positive exposure for New Orleans music, especially through an outlet like NPR, is great for both the music scene and the city,” said guitarist Ian Neville in a statement. “I listen to NPR, and there’s definitely going to be a lot of people who haven’t heard this kind of funk before, so it’ll be a cool moment for us.”
