actually drew...i do say "weaksauce" but I disagree w/ hopefulphan.

i love those shots. the crowd shot---center stage is great.

also, those ladies are pretty and their pic is sweet.

hair-beautiful hair! lovin it.

Again though, no disrespect to the photog., but why isn't this accompanied by a written review?

photogs have it easy for 'reviews'. Can't they keep a setlist note(s) and write a quick blurb about the festie? should almost be the rule.

great shots though Mahone! pronounced like the one from "Police Academy"??

i think that lineup looks pretty darn fun myself. its not all the same bands we have all seen countless times and lots of times i have more fun at the smaller, not over-the-top bonnaroo type festies. i know the spoon, pepper, polyphonic spree, and keller sets would have been sweet and with all those hot chicks running around i am sure i would have had a blast.

i was there. Arrested Developement was by far the most groovin band there. That was the 1st time i saw them....it was a groovin sweet party...lots of soul. there were some pretty crappy bands there in my opinion.

I thought Arrested Development was funny, and by no means “the most groovin band there”! I’m not sure it was any fault of theirs, but the stage they played on ran late and it pushed P-Groove into the WMD'S set. I wasn’t able to see both, which is often the case at a festival; but, according to the schedule, I should have been able to end the day with both sets in their entirety. The first couple P-Groove tunes made it hard to leave, but Keller and the boys rocked, and over all it was a fun scene.

As far as shutterbugs writing setlists… I think they have enough to contend with. They usually have multiple cameras and a bag full of gear. In fact, with so many diverse bands, I doubt anyone would know enough material to write complete setlists. I think Zach did a good job… The black and white WMD shot is great, as well as the girlie pic, which really demonstrates the youthful feel of Tallyrand.

I think Tackleberry or even Commandant Lassard himself would have taken better pics than Mahoney.

hey dj saturday, did you even see any other bands? because pgroove was definately the most groovin band out there. they played an awesome set and so did keller. i could have cared less about any other band out there other than these two. hopefully next year might be a little headier. there was a mosh pit at the keller show. less punk bands next time. the fest was definately weaksause but fun for a hometown event. i wish there was actually a review about the fest instead of just pictures. oh well pics could have been better too, they left sipe out.

Yea... i checked out lots of the other bands. i saw P-groove. im not really into them. yea...they groove...but its not really that soulful. the over all tonality of the music doesnt really do it for me. i am into more groovin soul music. Arrested Dev. gave me delivered some funky ass base lines and the vocals were sweet. SAHAGIAN: heady music is allright...but...i like the funky ass RnB over "heady music". wheres BADU?

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. It really was a fun show for the day. The diversity was really cool. As to answer the Johnnygoff's question to why there wasn't any words... I actually did have a writer with me who wrote a 700 word review of the festival. However the editor's did not think it was up to par enough for the site so they cut it.

And lastly thanks You Sahagian for my defense. shooting festivals is very time consuming and quite alot of work. I have two cameras and multiple lenses that I am constantly changing. My bag weighs about 30 pounds that I am carrying around the whole time. And when it is a festival I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to catch all the bands. Alot of time security limits photo pit usage to the first three songs which is really a pain in the ass. Not to mention the hours I put in after every show editing all the pictures.

Thanks again and keep a lookout for Bear Creek Festival I shot to come out soon

PEACE
