Oh man, Live at Tonic is AWESOME! Yes he has some freakouts at the beginning/end of song but it is more to set the mood, a la Bill Frisell. What's coolest is the cat can sure play Jazz! I like the Duo stuff but don't find myself in the mood that often. Live at Tonic definitely fits the bill for me. I would complain because I'm missing these shows, being on the West coast but I did catch 4 of the Yoshi's sets with Mathis & Chamberlain which were sweet!

Noise to some = catharsis for others.
