Starting January 3, 2008 Marco Benevento will host a weekly residency at New York’s Sullivan Hall (formally known as the Lion’s Den). The New York club has been renovated and reopened with a new sound system. Benevento will appear at the Sullivan Room each Thursday in January with a different group of friends. Confirmed guests include: Sex Mob slide trumpeter Steven Bernstein, DJ Olive and drummer Bobby Previte (1/3), Slip guitarist Brad Barr and ThaMuseMeant upright bassist Aimee Curl (1/10), drummers Billy Martin and Calvin Weston and saxophonist Skerik, (1/24) and Slip drummer Andrew Barr and JFJO bassist Reed Mathis (1/31). Additional guests will be announced in the coming weeks, including the full lineup for Benevento’s show on January 17.
