The Virginia Highlands Festival will be held in Atlanta this Saturday and Sunday. It will be a free event, with plenty of varieties of food, a plethora of eclectic, regional artists selling their wares, and over 16 musical acts including a solo performance from the modern-day Dylanesque Kevn Kinney (Drivin' and Cryin'), Atlanta's Dead flavored jamrockers Deep Blue Sun, and North Carolina twangophile Jon Shain (Flyin' Mice, Wake) with his bassist FJ Ventre.

The Festival was booked by Jeff Dunham, host of Z93's "The Dunhams Radio Program" in Atlanta. "This festival is being held in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Atlanta," Dunham says, "and we have put together a mix of musical artists which reflects that. We have reggae, jamrock, acoustic, blues, gospel, straight rock, heck we even have a high school jazz band performing."

Other musical acts scheduled for the Virginia Highlands bash include Kodak Harrison, Janah, and an original member of the Hampton Grease Band, Glenn Phillips, who will be performing with his current band.

The Festival kicks off at 10am on Saturday and will continue throughout the weekend. For more info on this throwdown, check out
